Haha... I recall the time that an offline friend played with his super support FOmarl... 8x resta range with merge and marina's bag. And yet my non PSO playing friend STILL kept leaving his resta range during the falz battle. What's worse, he was using my HUnewearl at the time. That's the last time I lend him any of my characters.

That poor mag lost so much synchro...

Yes, both FOmarls and FOnes have double Resta and Anti range.

i think fonewms are best. mwahaha. you have to be dang good at this game to play a fomarl and play one succesfully. Me thinks fonewm is best because foneys do have higher mst. (by what 100-200ish?) and have penetrating megid... (use cursed cloak/or demonic fork) and have higher 30%boost to simple spells. but i find their simple spells retarded when you could have 30% ra spells because in ult thre will be so many monsters itd be so much quicker to just nuke nuke nuke...fonewms have higher dfp and atp (better chance for melle) more hp. less tp and mst. (not much probably).
Of course i meant fonewms are best attack wise >_> (what i care about in a force) but they are like teh worst supportorz ever.

Yes, FOnewm is indeed the nuking force... they do suffer in support and if you're playing mostly support, you do need a resta merge. Mine plays usually with his Red Merge instead, because I'm not a wonderful support FO... although I do try to Resta people. (I just hate mad berserkers who berserk with no consideration for the FO - particularly if your FO happens to be the type who likes to steal his TP back and not rely on fluids)

Is a Resta Merge even good with FOmarl? I never found one. :S How would a Resta Merge and Marina Bag and the FOmarl's own range boosts stack?

Lemme put it this way... pretty dang far. The character would look tiny on your screen she'd be so far away, yet she could still heal you.
Frankly all you need is the right equipment and a FOmarl can solo just fine. My FOmarl has all of this equipment, so I'm set, but finding the equipment wasn't pleasant.

FOmarls also get 30% extra damage on Grants, but you use that so rarely for it to be entirely effective. (I still want to make a support Force that uses Grants to open boxes...)
Personally, I think that the FOnewm is not all wonderful - sure, they have cool Rod animations, but they are not very good at melee. If you want a melee Force, go for a FOmar. And nuking wise, I'd pick the FOnewearl. For if you can max your MST, then your Rafoies can deal as much damage as a maxed FOnewm, and the FOnewm gets 30% extra damage off of Gi- and Ra- techniques...
(Should be NAFOI though...)

FOmars are the melee forces, they have the least tp because their ATP means they need tp less. They can look after themselves in a fight, have decent HP and have bonuses to Shifta and Deband I believe, though don't quote me on it.
FOmarls are the support forces, they're the oneswho stay behind everybody else casting Resta, Anti, S&D, J&Z. It's very fun having such support. They also have decent HP to look after themselves. Most people would give a FOmarl a gun because it means she can do damage while far away because of halfway decent ATA. She has bonuses to Resta, Anti and Deband, complete with a 30% Grants bonus.
FOnewms are the guys who blast f**k out of stuff. They have serious bonuses to all of the ra and gi spells, meaning that when it comes to blasting multiple enemies to pieces, this is what it's all about.They have low HP because they shouldn't ever really get hit by your everyday enemy and high TP because they shouldn't really do any hitting either.
FOnewearls are your single damage forces. They clear a room best using the first level spells. What with bonuses to Foie, Barta and Zonde she is capable of ripping apart any enemy that comes near her, but she isn't really designed to kill a lot of enemies at once. When it comes to one-on-one though the FOnewearl is easily the most powerful, if not the most useful force.
Your choice depends on how you play. I've tried FOmarl and got sick of it, recently started a FOnewm and I'm finding it much more fun. Not least because he has about 600MST at level 20, complete with Deband 27 and Megid 10. Barta and Zonde are 21 and he'll have Foie 27 by the time he reaches level 25.

FOmars have the second lowest HP and the lowest ATA.
FOmarl have higher base ATA, but maxed out, it's the Newman FOrces who win. She has a bonus to all the support spells. The Grants is actually not so good for opening boxes
simply because it is too slow, but it does have good range. I often run around casting it for fun! Others like to blame me when they get hurt/killed, but that's mainly because I mess about an awful lot and talk too much. :|
I tried to make FOmarl into a melee force with two MAGs, just like my friend the FOmar, but his animations are so much better that I just end up running out of TP trying to heal after always getting hit, and when I tried to do nuking, he also does more damage than me. XD

Hehehe, well it's perfectly possible to melee with a FOmarl. Just get yourself some mechs with 80% hit... heh heh heh.
Also just to correct all these errors. A FOmarl gets a 50% boost to Grants, not 30%. The FOmar is the one who gets a 30% boost to Grants.
