I'm in need of a merikle

I took a long hiatus from PSO, but anyway, I've been playing again. I had the fomar, lvl 103, viridia, whom has now beaten all but the ultimate ruins and seabed. here's my hangup.
I really want a Soul Banish, so I looked that weapon up. A viridia can find it 1/365 merikles in the gal da val islands. So I went through there and only ran into one stinkin' mericarol throughout all of the islands.

alright, so since that didn't work, i decided to check in here and see what answers i could find. some say that only mericarols can be found offline (what i play). some say that merikles can be found in particular quests. some say merikles and mericus (or whatever) are rare monsters.
i can't access quests in ep. 2, and i don't know if that's because i didn't finish the ep1 quests or what, but i'm kinda at a stand still. anyone have any wisdom to share on the merikles, or even more to the point, does anyone know much about getting the soul banish?

If you cant get online then you do need a merikle lol. sorry. Merikle can only be found online, sorry dude. But...there is some hope for you. I believe that if you start or have a skyly its drop is 1/394 delbiter ult seabed,bluefull 1/788 deldepth ult seabed or redria 1/700 sinow spigell ult cca all offline. apologies if i missed anything there.

If you have PSO plus you can find them in the East/West tower quests offline (beat Seat of the Heart in ep2 first). Otherwise online only. :ermm:

Mericarol is findable with 1 per Jungle run, or several in a Tower quest (online or PSO+). Merikle is a different version that there are less of, and they only are in the Tower quests. Mericus are far to few, and are only findable in the Tower quests. Neither these or Merikle are rare enemies though, don't bother trying to pipe them.

The best place to hunt them in PSO+ would be the East Tower... there are 3... and the quest will take atleast a half hour. You will require some luck. To unlock East Tower, you must be in PSO+, then unlock Seabed, then beat Seat of the Heart. From there you can hunt the Merikles in East Tower.

Or if you can go online there are some quests that might be better and/or go faster, but you are not online...

If you have a Skyly, try the 1/394 Delbiter drop.
Merikle and Mericus can only be found in certain quests online.

I'm not sure that I do or don't have PSO+. I never saw any + anywhere, but it's called Phantasy Star Ep. 1 & 2 for gamecube. Something tells me that this isn't the version I need.
I could find out if I could do any Quests on Episode 2. Is seat of the heart a ep. 1 quest that I need to finish? eh, whatever.

Maybe it's time I made up a skyly and went for the delbiter instead.

if you have online you can do ep.2. quests, which is what you need to see a merikle. if not, you have no chance whatsoever, unless you do get online or get + (you dont ATM)

SotH is a ep.2 quest. I'm in the same boat as you, once I get to hunting the ep. 2 items I want I'm going to try to get a Partisan of Lightning, 1/317 from a Merikle.
