SPSOF... not quite working...
#1
Hey, any of you remember that SPSOF thing that blocks FSOD? There was a thread about it a long time ago... Well I got it to work perfectly before... but now it isn't...

the MS DOS command line Wrote:C:\[------ you don't need to know this, edited out---------]\spsof_fwonly.exe up

Connection parameters set to USA version PSO Plus. [right here it waits for a minute]
Cannot connect to authorization server! : No error
Where I said that it pauses for a minute, it is supposed to say that it is opening up a DNS proxy server or something like that... then it starts running... I did not change any settings, and my IP address is the same...

Any help? I know I got it too work... I even wrote a guide to how to use it for Anti-Snarf... but now it isn't working and I have NO idea why. Thanks for any info you have.

Same IP address on my computer as before. I checked all my ISP edit files on my memory card, all the same, they all match up. I tried the /flushdns, and it flushed it, but the program is still putting out the same message.

I also did delete the old files, and unZIP new ones, just to see if that would work, but it didn't.

Could it be the version I'm using? Maybe? Where would I get a newer one (all the links I've found are broken)? I have v1.90

Edit: I realized that it might have been that my ZoneAlarm Firewall was outdated... so I updated it... but it still doesn't work! Angry

Edit2: Okay, even on my completely seperate dial-up computer that's in my bedroom, when I run the program, I STILL get the same error. It never gets to wait for DNS requests...

I guess that means it's either time for EP3, or to play "dodge the FSODers and play in locked games!" Yay! What fun!!! Big Grin [/SARCASM] (about having to dodge FSODers and play in locked games, that is... EP3 is sweet)

I do recall running it on that computer a while ago, just to see what it did, and it just said it was waiting for DNS requests (which it would not get because my Cube didn't even have an internet connection then... I was just curious as to what it did.) That is what it is supposed to do though... then when the Cube connects it says it's opening up a port, then closing it, then the program starts to spew out hexcode. Which means it's working.

Is anyone else having this problem?
