Which Version ?

Hi all,

So I'm a newbie to the Phantasy Star thing but decided to give it a try.Which version can you guy's recommend me to play. I have a PC and would consider getting a Dreamcast.

get BB if you have a PC. if not, i'd recommend going for the gamecube version as you get both versions and you get multiplayer mode. also, 4 chars/mem card on GC. for you BB>GC>DC. either that, or theres an older version of PSO for the PC. its the GC version, and its free. link to where to get it in 2 secs.

Most people around here would say Blue Burst... but unless you're a fan of your characters getting deleted when you stop paying (as well as no offline mode), I'd suggest against it. Gamecube is still the way to go... there are still plenty of players (you just need to know where to look for them >_>).

the only virsion i have is the gamecube one but i think it is great but it has crashed a few times but my skyly is now level 128

you should go with ep.1/2
but if you want more upgrades and stuff
you may wish to use Blue Burst instead as it has more equipment/armors etc.

GC EP1&2 (and don't forget EP3!!!) Imagine... 5 years from now, AS, Kef, and Mariko are all paying for 5 HL's because they made EP5-8 and they can't stand to see their old characters and ub3r rarez to get deleted! Haha!
GC is much better. In BB, not only do your characters get deleted when you stop paying, but you can only have 4 characters... GC has 4 per memory card. You can get a GC, PSO EP1&2 (or EP1&2+), and BBA on eBay for about $100... depending on the deals you get... GC's can be really cheap... BBA's and PSO not as much...

BUT IT'S WORTH IT!

To date, no BB characters have been deleted due to inactivity. People have quit after beta and came back recently and their characters were still there. Just FYI.

BB is better, but go to GC PSO to satisfy these crazyy beggers n.n;;

I'm going to try the free version of PSO that jarl suggested because at least if I don't like it then i'm not paying anything.If thats good then I'll buy BB(Is it in English).Also when does Universe come and what platforms is it for.

That is actually a good idea to test one out first...

BB is in English if you have it set to the English setting (rather than Spanish, French, German, or Japanese), and you play with English-speaking people. (rather than Spanish, French, German, or Japanese)

PSU is a completely different game that will be for PS2. I don't know the estimated release date though.
