ok, bought my DS second hand so dont have manual/ anything whatsoever but here goes nothing anyway. i have 4 (yes, 5) dead pixels, 4 on top screen and one on the bottom one. what i was wondering is what can i do about this? i know you send it to ninty and they fix it, but how long does this take? where do i post it to? etc. etc.

Nintendo will replace any dead pixeled consoles you have for free. Nintendo are a great warrenty company they will pretty much fix anything for you for free.
Oh and if they are stuck pixels (i.e they are a diffrent color to the whole other screen) They will usually unstick after some heavy playing.

it says proof of purchase, i assume this is proof of getting it from the shop?

That is indeed. If you're concerned about that though, the shop you bought your DS from secondhand will have some kind of replacement faulty warranty thingymabob you get with all secondhand stuff.

Then get a reciept of him and take it back to where he got it from! lol

Did he buy it off the internet? If he did it should be fairly easy to print out a new invoice.

Then he's a fool and should be smashed around the head with a spade... a couple of times actually. Then whack yourself around the head with it for not getting the reciept of him in the first place!
