FSODX never used to happen, but when ST implemented the double save on joining games it started.
Basically, when you enter a game it saves straight away, action resumes for a split second before it saves again. If someone times it right, they can use word select or an AR code to FSOD you in the gap between saves and this results in a full corruption.
Morale of the story=Never join a game with only 1-2 people in, never join a team where you dont know anyone and if you can always try to make your own games since there will be no one there upon entry to FSODX you
