cheating is cheating, but hacking can be justified- i.e, hacking back corrupted items lost to FSOD, or random power cut during save, etc. the way you made it sound that all hacking was bad, even as protectionism really pisses me off. its like saying 'ive got a safe to store money in (hacking to protect self) but im not going to use it' i mean, bit stupid not to

Dang, one of my friends use glitches to dup items and stack weapons to make them 100X more powerful..(Sniff)..And now he thinks hes better than me...(starts crying)

It really does annoy me when hackers try to brag about being 1337, because they aren't... The people who are 1337 are the ones who actually got the weapons properly. What's even more annoying is seeing an illegit who sucks... For the love of God, if you are going to cheat, atleast go all out with the 127% and lv200.

It's all their way of trying to have fun... some people get their kicks from screwing over other players; others like dealing 283719 damage on a Normal attack; some like having weapons, but are too lazy to get them...

I cheat on games too, but I don't ever recall cheating on PSO. PSO is an MMORPG meaning you play WITH other people. Cheating will just make other people miserable, especially if the person cheating is a real jackass about it thinking he's better 'cuz he knows how to hack/cheat or 'cuz he has the best weapons in the game. Cheating is fun if you do in on a single player game like Spiderman 2 or games like that 'cuz you don't make anyone feel bad, but cheating on an MMOG is just plain stupid and the people who decide to cheat on multiplayer games are inconsiderate of other people.

Yeah! Im also guilty of cheating, but only on oneplayer games, like animal crossing ^_^; but cheating on an online game is just really low...so low its laughable! I'd never cheat, just to make myself the strongest person online, its really just pointless! I think I am gonna laugh! LOL!

to be fair, saying cheating to make yourself really good then stopping other people have fun is stupid- a lvl 200 can kill everything before anyone has a chance to tag it, whats the difference between that and hacking to make yourself good? playing with hackers can be fun- i.e, i was playing with someone who was stacking yesterday, i asked for some fluids and he dropped me 20 trifluids . playing iwth legits can also be not fun, if you cant tag stuff for exp as everyone is killing too fast.

You know, whenever I say something, you find a way to turn it against me. Why? No idea, but it's kinda funny. Anyway, sure YOU don't care if you play with cheaters, but what about other people? To be exact, newbies. Cheating just to "show who's better" is just plain wrong and cruel.

I think you put too much emphasis on whats fair/not fair. It's only a game.
Anyway, it depends on the cheater. Cheating in MMOs doesnt make people miserable, but cheating on MMOs and abusing over-stat characters can. Some newbies know what theyre getting into, and become cheaters themselves early on. I dont think it really matters how people play, unless they are asked to leave a game and refuse.
