Somewhat of a moral predicament

Well i'm in a bit of a tight spot. Recently online i was given a Tsumikiri J Sword + 50. Note GIVEN and i have a really bad feeling (basically i almost know) its a dupe. But they guy who gave it to me said he traded for it. Now here's where it comes in, i really REALLY want to go to ultimate so i can get my own rares but i'd die instantly if i went in ultimate alone any time soon. Here's the thing, do i use the item which is more than most likely dubbed to get my own rares, drop it and never use it again or just give it up now. I really find this tough because the urge is so overwhelming that i wanted to ask for advice, which way to go, the easier and quicker way or the harder way. It sounds easy but its really not for me. Please just someone say something so i can get over it. Sorry if i'm making something small seem big.

if u r an illegit person, use the sword, if u want to stay legit, get lots of lvs higher, so it will be easy.

I think you should get rid of it and see if you can find a legit person willing to give you a decent legit weapon

Like someone said, I guess if you are not legit, then use it.

If you are then it seems clear what you do with it. I doubt that if you can handle Ult without, then you are not ready for it. And if you can't manage with it, then you are definatly not ready for it. I very much doubt that a weapon will let you complete an area that you can do without it. If you can however, then the weapon seems too powerful.

But as always, it's up to you.

Well, it's correct to say that the J-Sword is a dupe, because almost all of them floating around on PSO are dupes, much like many of the items with 100%s in 2-3 attributes (don't get me wrong, i trust people when they say they've used Photon Spheres on a good Hit % weapon). However, J-Swords are also your ticket to sassmouths yeah it steals the kills online and people just hate you for that. I suggest not using it whatsoever, even though it is very powerful. Like everyone else said, if you can take ult by yourself, I wouldn't mind ya using it. We've all had our little encounter with the Big J when starting PSO haven't we? n_n

uhh Zer0, didn't that already happen? You were legit then vahn and issac traded for stuff and you got some of it? Aren't they dupes?

Yeah i want to be purely legit (looking back it must be a dupe. He also gave a mag away with 360 on all stats) so i just dropped the items in the offline game and left so i cant get them again ever.

zer0, it is impossible for u to be legit. did u find every weapon u use? u didn't even find that talis, vahn and i found that like 6 months ago while playing caves hard. same with the hildebears cane, hildeblues cane, mahu, and several other things. now if we go to dupes.... :eek:
