The Japanese post is leaked over
here.
From what I can make out, it says from an insider at "FAMI" (Famitsu magazine?) says that Sega have decided/determined to go for 31st August 2006 for release of PSU.
The post also mentions something about the PS2 Beta being distributed (via game disc presumedly) to 3,000 persons. The Xbox 360 version however, is undecided.
Before anyone argues, yes I found it on a Japanese website, no it's not an official source.
Perhaps someone here can help translate the post better than I did]! :S

Another twinkle off the PSU grapevine: That the Beta PS2 PSU will contain the first chapter of story mode, as well as full network mode.
It's coming in like soup on a drip...

But I herd that psu is coming out for us... (Canadians/Americans) in oct this year... Ill find the link

A release date for the US version of PSU has been found at

The game has been announced to be released on the 24th October 2006!
However, this is not a final confirmation and, should further news on this date be released, PSC will, of course, be there to get the updates!
There you GO!! Lets hope it actually comes out ffs
