I myself have looked into the game coding of PSO. Between versions drops are different, however what Kef posted was accurate.

Kefka is a good player, and although sometimes Kef may act in a certain way the information posted is always accurate and up to date.

- Although many don't question what Kefka and other mods claim, I did. It was actually a waste of time, and ignoring good advice just for the sake of "not following the crowd" shows that you cannot accept advice easily Ade and that is sad.

If you want to look into it, look into the game coding, that's the only proof you can find for yourself.

Sephiroth, you have also been doing a large amount of flaming and it isn't helping anyone. So please stop.

As for you, Ade, flaming a staff member is rather suicidal, you know. For flaming me, Lee-Yoshi or Sol will not hesitate to ban you. There is no warning count system, here.


To answer your topic question, the data I have comes directly from the game disc, but you know very well I'm not the one who extracted the information, it was Sounomi (surely, you remember her), she made the program to extract data herself, and never released it -- which is rather clever, in my opinion.
She reverse-engineered the whole game, all the data was extracted and compiled into guides or tables at her site, Housoka (which she now took down). Before taking down her site, she gave all her data to three people, eRUPT, former PSOW Admin, Omar and myself.

Tycho and I have done a lot of work and research on the game since, sometimes using Japanese sites and such, but at least 50% of the info we have ("we" as in the entire English-speaking community) comes from Sounomi.

Regarding the data extraction method, it goes against our rules to post it.

No, actually the data itself can be posted and has been in the item database on this very site. It's the method of obtaining that data which it is forbidden to post.

Kefka is Kefka. People are who they are, and they act in certain ways. A lot of people trust Kefka here, especially people which I personally trust. Now, just because most people believe something does not make it true, but consider that you're talking to a bunch of people who play PSO - and there has to be some aspect of us asking questions in there somewhere. We don't often give in to blind faith.

Going with the crowd is actually sometimes a good thing. Sephiroth - I understand your anger, but you are a much more valued member of the community to me than Ade, so I would not like to see you fall under the same sanctions. Rant about it on AIM or something!
