Charge VS Beserk

You ought to work on this.

Indeed. I'd love to see you in challenge mode if you play "everything" like PW3 ninja Tongue

Consideration of other players is important in a game where you interact with real people who have feelings and often you may need them to guard your back.

Teamwork is essential in most any MMO.

so a person that kills alot is protecting the others right? (even if they don't get exp)

If by protecting, you mean protecting them from getting exp, then yes Tongue

That's a bad thing!

But more imporatntly, that everyone makes mistakes and you should never expect the FO to get your Resta EVERY time.

As long as you do it with Samus, solo and/or play with other "tiny" players (you know what I mean there Tongue), whatever. But you realize that's a lot of the reason others don't play with you. Ade has a point here. >_>

EDIT: And contrary to apparently-popular belief, the fact that others won't play with you IS A BAD THING. >_>

People do play with me when I use Samus... as long as I haven't started a quest already. ( Tongue to Nomad) Usually though, it's only players that I know who are high-levels, so there is no big problem with them not being able to get a hit in. In fact, only Nomad and Pink have ever told me specifically to stop Beserk/Spiriting because I was going to fast. >_>

The only occurence of a low-leveled character complaining to me about the speed was in a Ruins run about two weeks ago... It was Normal mode; I was helping on an Invisible Guard hunt. Blackblade joined with a lv30ish RA, and then complained to me and the Fomarl that he could not tag, then left. >_> Normal Ruins is not done for EXP.

Edit: I forgot to add, in some other MMORPG's, like World of Warcraft, when you play with higher level characters, you get ZERO experience. The game actually stops you from getting experience if you just try to tag while level 60 (max) characters kill everything. Really, it makes sense... If you don't have the experience to keep up with the other players, then why should you get EXP? >_>
Too legit to quit.

Because NICE people will help out a newbie from time to time. Also PSO does not use that system, WoW does. You're not playing WoW when you're playing PSO! One has bows, one has laser guns - there's also a sliiigghhhht difference in gameplay Tongue

And by slight I mean massive.

That'd be because there aren't too many people that'll tell you when you're being a useless team player (where by useless I mean, EXP hogging) right to your face.

If I ever bother playing with you as Samus again I'll just use Pink since she is level 200 and doesn't need EXP anymore.

Mkay, the word that comes to mind here is politeness. You sorta need to realize when people are just being too polite to just directly ask you not to whore experience. I can't speak for Pink (EDIT: Looks like she did herself while I was posting Tongue), but I find it rather pointless (with regards to friends/peers) to be polite to them when they are not being polite to you. If you're blunt with the exp-whoring, I'm blunt with the objections, it's as simple as that. But for those players who DO excercise over-politeness, you really need to be on the lookout for even the tiniest hint of resentment. A chat string such as "....." or ">_>" should be a significant warning (except when they're shortcuts, triggered by accident like I sometimes do Tongue). And when you're up against resentment, you need to offer to slow down or else use another weapon.

Because here's the thing, it's NOT just about tagging. Sometimes you need to let them get kills that you could easily have taken, because they're in it for the fun just as much as you are. Barring challenge mode games, there's no excuse for not allowing a lesser player to get competitive exp. Say you play a game with three other players on June 25th at 9 PM. You play an RT and it lasts an hour (I know you try to be freakishly fast and all but let's assume an hour for the sake of argument here ;[ ). So you put an hour into clearing RT. Well guess what, so did they. And if they put in the same amount of time as you, they deserve a competitive share of the exp, end of story.

Just as a side note: by competitive exp, I mean something like at least 15-20% of the kills in a 4-player game (25% in a 3-player game, 35-40% in a 2-player game, and at least 80% of the total monsters tagged in ANY game). Obviously if you have stronger players, they can and will kill faster in general and get the major exp for a larger percentage of the monsters. But if you're in a 4-player game and you're getting 50%-60% of the major exp, something is wrong. It's up to you to use your own judgement and put on the brakes when it is necessary.

While the idea of a lv30 ranger not being able to get competitive exp in normal ruins IS somewhat laughable (assuming your characters were normal-leveled, that is), refer to the point I made above. If blackblade put in time, he should get kills.

See Anti's post above for my opinion also. Tongue
