You'd be surpised. The voice acting is quite good actually, and there are some familiar people who play some (or one) of the characters voices.
Christie Carlson Ramano plays the voice of Yuffie. You may know her as the voice of Kim Possible, and the sister Wren in the disney channel TV show Even Stevens. So I wasn't disappointed there. And They snatched the voice right out of my head for Barret's voice with the Mr. T-esque voice. I think (am pretty sure) the voice of Barret is the same guy who plays that one guy on Cowboy Bebop! I can almost swear on it! All the other voice I'm pretty much clueless as to where they're from!

One phrase...
"Dilly dally shilly shally!"

You cannot translate a japanese onomatopoeia with an underlying meaning into english!
And although the voices aren't that bad they went for so much lip-sync it makes less sense?
Who says someone is "The black sheep in our happy flock" instead of a Traitor?
Eh? And they messed up Sephiroths threat of despair! It's just tooooo terrible
Japanese with subs

LOL!! I heard someone say that Yesterday!!! And the voice acting to ME isn't that bad. But the words they say and the words i the subtitles are COMPLETELY different, so I don't know I personally liked their performance.

At first I thought they took the subs from the Japanese version and used those for the English version and thats why the subs were wrong. But no! The subs they use in the English version are new and wrong! Why would they do that?

I'm not too hot on it any more.I loved it at first, but after upwards of 100 sittings,it starts to get boring.

I'd have liked it if the other characters got a larger role in the film, and whilst the quick action packed story is great and a big draw for me, it does start to get boring knowing exactly what's coming next!
