Terra has an S-Rank Shot, with Demon's (rarely use outside of PW#4, awesome for killing Epsilon outside the Epsiguard ring), but my "Lv 184", aka Hrith, doesn't. Hrith is so useful with V501 + Spread Needle or so powerful with Crimson Coat + Red Slicer that I haven't bothered to get an S-Rank Shot/Needle/Slicer for her.
I may get S-Rank Shot with Arrest, because I tried S-Rank Needle with Arrest, it is actually better Spread Needle (and mine has 15% hit), but I want some range for a change -- and the difference between Spread Needle 15% hit vs S-Rank Needle with Arrest isn't worth the 50 PDs.
I don't really want to Berserk with an android *uses Daylight Scar with hit on a char with 231 ATA, though* >_>

Zalure and Jellen are awful Needle specials, especially when not soloing. Even when soloing, after you use the special once, your Needle becomes useless; spamming Zalure/Jellen isn't gonna do much good.

Slicers are so much better than shots or needles, anyway.

Kefka, a Demon's Shot in PW4? No wonder you think it is a hard quest, that's a horrible weapon to be using. You could hit much better with any handgun or rifle, as long as you time you shots to go between the Epsilguards, or better yet, walk into the circle and use a Demon's Mechgun.

And explain how a Slicer is in any way better, especially on the S-Rank? Shorter range, slow, and hits less enemies. S-Ranks are all about getting the unreduced special on it, and with 35 ATA, neither the S-Rank J-Cutter or the S-Rank Slicer can make good use of the special.

I won't say needles are useless, but all I see RAs using are spread needle, yas9k and frozen shooter. Maybe a demon's laser every few people, but they're retarded anyways. I think it's been months since I've seen another RA use a slicer.

I used to use that once. It was back when I was new online. Then I realized it sucked. Big time.

I'm sorry WN, you know I like playing with you, but when it comes to RA weaponry, you fail :x Although I hold you higher than other people left on Gamecube. But thats probably not saying a whole lot.

I'm really, really sorry WN, and this isn't personal, but if you have to ask why slicers are better than shots and needles, you are a n00b :l

And a lot of those weapons are beat by other weapons. A LOT of them >_> Style is redundant.

90% of the weapons you listed aren't good weapons, and easily outranked by shots and slicers.

If you really think S-Rank Slicer and its 35 ATA makes it useless, you shouldn't play with me, or even just see me play, it would make you cower in shame.

And shot-type weapons are definitely the best for PW#4, slicers aren't as good, let alone needles.

i luv them needle things. my RA uses the spread needle +40. of course its weak as crap so i had never tried it till not long ago. i realised that its 10 stars and the shots are 9. i knew something was starnge and its the attack speed.

i have the amasing attack speed of the spread needle plus i use a god battle. tbh i feel pritty damn invincible. none of the enemy can hit me coz i hit them again and again b4 they can land an attack.

the only enemy that pose a threat are the glichich or dubchics coz they dont exactly stun/react to the attack. in the case of them ill just use my ano rifel though or gi gue bazooka

Saiffy: While all my rangers use an FS and SN, it's their other weps I tend to use more. And, no specials? Well, I plan to put at least somewhat unique specials on the needles I get (not sure what yet for Will's, Geist for Loaded Die's, and Zalure for Gorgotron... yeah, that one isn't too unique but he'd need it ).

Kef... S-Rank Slicers huh? What about on a HUnewearl? What special would you put on it? I can't think of a single S-Rank Cyclone could use, and her current slicer is a 25h Red Slicer, but I might get her an S-Slicer anyway if I could think of a purpose for it...

Kef speaks smart. The problem I see with n00bs on the "other" server, is they tend to not use specials on needles. Hence why I refuse to play with anyone I don't know, now anyways. And people with specials use zalure, which is useless with FOs in the game. Maybe if you switched to a better multi hitter after you special attack(But 100% of n00bs don't)

@NetNomad: An s-rank slicer/j-cutter special attack will almost never hit with a HU :/ At best, these are usefull for HU droids for J/Z, other than that, it probably isn't worth it. Though my HUmar has a demon's slicer, I rarely use the special. Unless a droid freeze traps a group of grunt enemies, I guess.

Demon's on mechguns...doesn't work, despite what people tell you. You're much better off with a rifle, and epaking of mechguns, you're better off with Red Mechs. I use s-rank mechs, but I do not say they are the best, because I know that is far from the truth. And Guld Milla does own this, anyways.

Won't deny berserk needle has it's uses, but for grunt enemies, an s-rank slicer/j-cutter/launcher/shot with berserk is usually better, for sheer ATP purposes.

if anything else, you cannot at all claim to use "good" equipment around, when you ignore 3 perfectly good weapon types for any RA(Launcher*, shot, slicer). Not to mention melee weapons, which if a RA can equip, they can probably use it better than any HU can(Save HUcast, usually)

*though i only use launcher on my racaseal, because male launcher animation fails

I usually use Launcher over Needle, because the former has over twice the ATP of the latter. So even if you hit one or two less targets, Needle still fails -- not to mention range.
Launchers are rather bad if you're not in a team of three or four, though, and nothing beats Needles for soloing, amazing crowd control weapon. But for dealing damage, hmm, just no.
Launchers also have amazing capacities: they don't need to lock to hit, they hit flying things with much more ease than other weapon types, they hit several parts of bosses and some monsters (Girtablulu) with very low chances of missing (shots and needles really fail at Dal Ra Lie, Barba Ray, Gol Dragon, Gal Gryphon and Girtablulu when they are moving).

S-Rank Needle: 150 ATP
S-Rank Shot: 260 ATP
S-Rank Slicer/J-Cutter: 290/310 ATP (twice Needle's)
S-Rank Launcher: 370 ATP

It's easy to see which weapon fails.

I do use Needles, that's for sure, but it's for spamming the special, nothing else.

And any 5-star weapon (or less) completely fails, period.
