PSU Petition :)
#1
Hello everybody,
I inform you that there's a new petition on the web, concerning Phantasy Star Universe.
As you know, SEGA decided to do different servers for japanease and US / European players. I don't think it's a good idea, because it was very nice to play with people coming from everywhere, all over the world, on the DC / GC and XBOX versions of PSO.
US and EU servers should be the same but not the JP server Sad

If, like me, you want to play with japanese players, please go sign HERE

The Xbox version restricted to region-based servers too you know. Wink

As much as Id like the servers to let everyone from around the globe play together, I think It might be abit late to change SEGAs/Sonic Team's mind. But Ill sign it anyway Tongue

Hate to be the eternal cynic, but online petitions don't accomplish anything and seeing as Sega of Japan will not listen to Westerners anyway this will accomplish even less.

You should not think this ... did you know that thanks to petitions on th web, developpers agree to release their last shoot-en up using Naomi card on Dreamcast ? Smile
If you wish i can give you some exemples of sucessfull petitions :
Border Down
Under Defeat
Chaos Field
Trizeal
Shikigami no shiro 2
etc ...

If they agree to release this games on the dead DC, it's because thousands of players signed the petition. Here, there's no need of thousands of signs since merging servers does not generate additional costs for SEGA

Interesting point for a petition. I don't really see what effect it'll have on English & Japanese playing together, it worked well on Gamecube, Japanese played on JP servers and English played on them all, and no-one was harmed!

The reason for it though is because Sonic Team of Japan don't really want us to see what we're missing out on by not being Japanese. It also allows them to host Japanese-only competitions where players can win loads of amazing prizes (Including in the past, but not limited too mp3 players, bikes and even TV's!) - Why would we want to win such amazing stuff? Nah, i wanna win downloadable wallpapers! Allllright Big Grin </sarcasm> So yea, i really dont see it having an effect on ST's mind, but ill sign it just in any case just to be supportive! lol

Yeah you know none of these are Sega (albeit ST) games, right ?

Well, now, we're sure EU/US are linked. See what Clumsyorchid said :

"US and EU servers will be linked, I don't think anyone will have any problems with me releasing that info. The release date for EU is November 24, as seen by their version of the site. The other main difference for the EU site is the included movie, we had a few issues with our ESRB tag and should have a site update soon to include a US trailer."

Good news Smile.
