I, the one with probably the least psu knowledge hear -_-, have a question...

If you play offline...

Is there still those world thingies?

4 characters? or do you have to be ethan?

And do you get to play offline mode like you did on pso? As in, do you still get to roam around and kill things with the same areas as online mode and have the quests options to?

Offline theres two options:

The Single Player story, where you play as Ethan,

and "Extra Mode" which is an offline version of the Online game. You get all the planets, the colony, your room etc. Not sure if the missions are the same or they'll be different ones.

Also, from what can be seen from the Beta there isnt an option to goto the planet and "just kill stuff", you have to start a mission first.

The Extra mode is more like playing Story Mode as your own character, the missions are based on the missions in storymode, rather than the missions in Network mode, so instead of getting the missions in sets of 3, C B and A respectively, you just get to play through set areas of Single Player.

Your character can use alot more equipment easier and earlier (You can use S Ranks straight away, if you can afford them). Levelling up is faster and also much easier. Basically it just plays like leveling up in Story Mode, except when you reach your desired level, there is no more story to actually play.

Seeing as he's gone through it in a completely different language... as well as in the past 3 days... I'd say yes. XD

It's definately fun, but no where near as challenging or engaging as Network mode is, it's a nice sandbox mode though. I wouldn't count on it having much lasting appeal though (not even as much as offline PSO had unfortunately).

Well at the very least... it'll be good for practicing your skills a bit.

I aslo played JP version offline and it really gets boring fast offline. But for me mostly was just because i couldn't read anything so there wasnt much to explore offline on JP version. Im sure offline in the Eu/US reaslase will last you a bit but not as much as online.
