Storyline links between PSU, PSO and PS?

I just read psuniverse.net's review of PSU.

I couldn't help but notice this: look at the names of the planets of the Gurhal Star System in PSU, and compared them to the names of the Algol System in the original Phantasy Star:

Moatoob -- Motavia
Neudeiz -- Dezolis!
Parum -- Parma!!!!!!!!

Same place/alternate Universe, a different place, or just a simple naming-after?

Which star system are we in in PSO? There are the planets Coral and Ragol. PSO doesn't have much of a link with PS, but I'm sure everyone will remember "Muut Ditts Poumn", which definitely refers to Motavia (the FOrce weapon Prophets of Motav is also a reference of this planet), Dezolis and Parma.

Someone keep an eye out for what the environments of Moatoob, Neudeiz and Parum are like, and report any other similarities to the Algol Star System!

What is the SEED? There was this very kind (!) computer called SEED in PSIV, was he the one who created HUnewearl Rika? I doubt very much that this is the same SEED, but I feel like I need to point this out simply because of its name.

Could the life form 'SEED' be the strange larvae that infested the ruins in PSO? indeed, wasn't the ruins a spaceship once? so basically the first level of PSU is like playing a historical drama of the Ruins

Well, the Parum planet looks like the forest. And i'd have to agree with rebel maren thats the first levels could be like the ruins.

Oh, I should add that I've played right through Story Mode, the PSO similarities don't let up, never played the original series though.

PS, PSO and PSU are all completely different storyline continuities - the three planet thing does sound like a reference though.

Yeah thought so. i seen no connection when i was doing the Story mode. But couldnt really tell because it was in jp.

i once showed lee yoshy a picture of the last boss , it is very similiar to D.F. and the cenario is almost identical
seed....i toke a picture (i think) because psu talked aboout seed and checked just to see if it is a coincidence or not
seed in ps4 and psu are different
any question about ps4 mirinee just ask me, or ask forge, he also know some prety good stuff


i once made a topic wich i was relating pso and psu stuff with ps4 like criatures and items.....

The entire series will have similarities running through it, the spoiler Moonwraith mentioned links PS to PSU and PSO, as will plenty other things.

Such as Rag Rappies.

Think of it more like Final Fantasy as far as sequels go.
