Simple Leveling of Certain Spells
#1
I've been doing a little experimenting recently and I decided I may as well share a little info with all of you here.

You know those pesky spells that take so darn long to level? Well... turns out you can abuse the programming of several of them to raise their levels a lot faster! This will be especially good for Forces (once they get the stat increasing spells unlocked) so they can provide much better support faster!

The first set of spells that can be upgraded easily (if you have some spare meseta), is the stat decreasing spells such as Jellen, Zalure, etc. Here's what you do...

1. Get a bunch of rods/staffs and make sure they're full.
2. Find a large group of enemies that do little to no damage to you (and won't make you flinch)
3. Continually cast the spell you're trying to improve on these enemies, make sure to hit as many as you can.
4. Keep putting the spell on a new rod/staff when you drain the one you're working with so you can continuing using the spell.
5. Once all of your rods/staffs are empty, finish the stage.
6. Wash, rinse, repeat!

What you'll notice is that despite the fact that the enemy is still suffering the lowered status, you'll still gain spell EXP from casting it on the enemy repeatedly. Thus, you can gain spell levels ultra fast on this particular set of spells.

The next set of spells are stat increasing spells! Please note I've only tested "Megistar" and not more basic ones like Shift and Deband. If they don't work as I describe below please tell me as soon as possible.

Okay, now for leveling those pesky stat boosters. This is easiest with a large party, the more people the spell hits, the more EXP it gets! If you can, round up 5 friends that are willing to stand right beside you for large periods of time. (This is of course, whenever these spells are available online, offline just bring 3 NPCs with you.) Here's how we go about this one...

1. Get a bunch of rods/staffs and make sure they're full.
2. Get as many people in your party as possible and enter a stage.
3. Have everyone gather close to you.
4. Start casting the spell you're trying to level on them repeatedly. The more people the better.
5. Keep putting the spell on a new rod/staff when you drain the one you're working with so you can continuing using the spell.
6. Once all of your rods/staffs are empty, finish the stage.
7. Wash, rinse, repeat!

Much like the stat decreasing spells, even though your friend has their stat boosted, you'll still get more spell EXP for using the spell again! Just keep on casting and you'll have better stat boosting spells in no time!

The third set's a tad more complicated and much slower... not to mention will require plenty more PP to get the spell into its highest levels. These two spells are the spell that nullifies one physical attack, and the spell that nullifies one TECHNIC attack (I forget their names. One's a ground type, the other's light type.)

The main reason these are slower is because of the fact that you can't merely repeatedly cast the spells on yourself. You've got to get hit by the respective type of attack that the spell nullifies first. Here's what you do...

1. Get a bunch of rods/staffs and make sure they're full.
2. Go to a stage with an enemy that attacks slowly and predictably with the attack type you're nullifying.
3. Kill off everything but that one enemy and prepare your spell.
4. Each time the enemy destroys the barrier, cast a new one.
5. Keep up this process until you run out of rods/staffs.
6. Finish off the stage.
7. Wash, rinse, repeat.

This will take significantly longer than the other spells... but it's the fastest way possible.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now then... that was a mighty spew of tips and tricks. XD A couple other things to note... spells like Resta and Reverser only gain spell EXP when they're actually doing something! You'll gain nothing by casting them when you don't need them. Resta and other such support TECHNICs also gain more EXP when they aid multiple team-mates. Use it appropriately to gain the most spell EXP.

That's really all I can think of... other than the basic, attacking spells will gain EXP faster if you hit multiple targets each time. The fastest way to level one attacking spell is to use it, and only it, as you play.

Hopefully someone will find all this info useful. I'm fairly sure someone's already come across these tricks by now, but hey, let everyone else know about it too. XD It'll certainly be nice to have a few less spells to worry about taking forever to level. Enjoy everyone!

Wow, that's truly helpful Pink! I'm sure that would come in handy for any force, and I sure will use it when I make mine...whenever that is! Good job finding this out!

To make it easier, you could gather several FOs in a game for this for a mass circlejerk because they would probably all be willing to join in for this.

Good point Tycho. That way they could all be doing the spell upgrades at the same time. XD It's up to six times as effective. XD

It'd also be hilarious to watch, 6 forces all casting the same spells over and over again!
