Sorry about all those abbreviations in the title..!
When somebody has got it up, can you tell me what kind of patching is in order to get the EU version playable straight out of the box? My uni room has a pretty rubbish limit (400mb) so is it safe to download and go, or should I wait till I'm home?

Bah I'm going to be on the 360 version Mr. Shoe
But AFAIK the patch should only be a few MB's as they have currently only been unlocking content already contained within the client data.

I dowloaded the patch last week with a bogus id/pass so that I would be ready and it took about 25 mins. Im on a 516kbps conection. Hope this helps

As small as it is... whatever download coding is used on PSU's patching, my university throttles big time. Despite being able to get normal downloads at over 500kb/s... the PSU patch I downloaded several weeks ago I had to leave on overnight because it was going to take HOURS... I hate my university network.

Sort of related - what does frame skip do in the options?
My laptop gets a bit of slowdown online sometimes, will putting frame skip up to 3 help at all?

Frame skip does exactly what it says. It "skips" the set number of frames before drawing another to the screen. The lower the frame skip, the smoother the game animates, but the harder it is on your computer. I have to use a frame skip of 1 on my laptop because there's a lot of slowdowns when there's too much animating on screen. So yeah, adjusting the frame skip will correct slow-downs, just note that the game's gonna animate a little weirder than you're used to.
