Fighting Style

Everybody has a different way of playing this game, correct? What is it for you? Do you use techs, skills, arts, or what? Do you use weapons that aren't the optimum?

For my main Extra Mode character Shiro, she's pretty unusual. No Twin Sabers, no normal Sabers. I use a sword, which I don't remember the name of, and a spear, again I don't recall the name. I always used to just go straight for power, and not bother with other parameters, but I go for style more than strength now. Although it helps that her weapons are the strongest I can find so far.Tongue

With Pink I pretty well use the same approach I used with PSO, I bring a large variety of weapons that will be good for all situations. They're all very powerful and quite devastating when used properly. Tongue

If I had to pick a main weapon, it'd be my set of S ranked dual claws! I just like leaping about and slashing things to pieces... XD I tend to focus more on the number of hits I can deliver to an enemy than sheer power... just like on PSO XD, so I have at least one weapon of all the dual types. Dual sabers, dual claws, dual daggers, and dual handguns. Tongue I also use my photon arts a lot because they're darned useful, and I bring along a wand with Resta and Megistar bonded to it for support uses throughout a stage.

My strategy is gonna need a lot of refining once I get online unfortunately due to lack of content.

I play pretty much exactly the same as I used to on PSO. The old 2-hit combo, hit them once, back off, let them miss, then move in again. People seem to think that I'm weird for using lock-on and strafe as well, but I don't seem to mind when I'm the only one left standing. I seem to be able to solo level 20 missions at level 7, so I must be doing something right.

Having a bit of trouble with the first person view mode though. I suck at that. I overuse Photon Arts as well.

Weapons at the moment for me are Sword, and the Saber/Handgun combo. Got a nice Breaker that's been grinded 6 times. ;]

I normally go to 1st person view and blast away with my rifle. When there's a lot of enemies grouped up I'll use my dagger's special attack to hit everything and get exp claim.

However, instead of just being normal with a rifle, I carry 2 rifles on me all the time for 2 reasons. 1: incase my primary one runs out of ammo, 2: I keep a different shot tech equipped to each gun. For example: On De Ragan runs I keep Grav Shot on my primary rifle, and Frozen Shot on my secondary. Of course, I throw frozen shot on my primary for the De Ragan himself, but switching weapons mid-fight is easier than switching techs.
no more online mode for me anymore, perhaps some day.
Forever wishing there were actually unique looking weapons in PSU.

Mainly sticking with saber handgun combo, Guns for tagging for exp and saber for power and speed. I use up m PP really quick to try lvl skills atm so dont have an tactics with that.

Spears~~ I love to swing those things everywhere and pierce 2-3 enemies all at once. They are my workhorses. I have one for all elements except ground and thunder. Dark is really important. I use daggers for faster damage, and I use twin swords for rising strikes knock down ability. In Nuedaiz relics, this is very very useful.

I do not use knucks and great swords.

I dont understand why they added 1st person. It's completely useless with lock on.

Im a magic user and have several wands/rods right now. I have 4 wands i carry one setup for each of the 4 elements that exist right now online, and i pair those with a handgun of the same or opposite element(depends on where i am at the time) I keep my 2 rods set with resta/reverser and usually diga/radiga or foie/rafoie. I also carry a bow for long range heavy damage or when im fighting bosses as techs arent that great for most of them.

One thing i have started to do recently is carry several extra wands, as i have had trouble lately with me running out of pp on all my wands/rods(I use to carry only 5 total + the bow) so i went and made/bought some more so i have 10 wand/rods now.

I use my spells constantly and I switch between wands to hit enemys with their weakness, going for the Ra spells if there is a group or single spell damage with foie/diga.

I find 1st person mode to be very useful, particularly when sniping enemies from afar or fighting De Regan or Onmagohg/Dimmagolus.

You simply cannot hit their weak spots without using 1st person mode.
