Um, yeah... This kind of thing would only happen in the U.S.? :X

Anyway. This was apparently such big news that an article appeared on the BBC News Website here.

It isn't the only reason he was arrested. There were most likely other reasons, because he is apparently also "facing an expulsion hearing from his school for attempting to hit a police officer assigned to the school last month".

The article claimed he was 'stealing' from his grandmother's house, where the present (some Nintendo console) was. The mother: "I'd rather call (the police) myself than someone else call for him doing something worse."

Maybe he just needs a good beating/telling off/other punishment (housework slave, maybe, heh!). My parents believed in the "spare the rod, spoil the child" and I got into trouble a lot when I was little. I know I will not be treating my children that way. (Ouch, I can still feel the pain. :'() ... Hey look, I'm ranting again. Bla blah...! XD

He has Hyperactivity Disorder, he'll do anything...

For the Mom part, shes being over the top to protect him, If her son has a disorder, would he have a person looking after him? It does state thats his being diagnosed.

For one, I dont want kids, why? I may end up doing the same of what my dad does to me back in the youngin days XD

It's a good think I took psychology... it taught me many many useful ways to abuse the simple mind of small children so I can craft them as I want them over time... XD Thus... not being total brats... hopefully peer-related difficulties won't cause too many mis-haps.
