What is Piping?

im new to PSO and ive been browsing this forum for a while now, and ive seen people used the term 'piping' to increase their chances of seeing a rare monster. So can any1 tell me how to do it?

piping is when your offline and use telepipes to go back and forth between pioneer 2 and ragol till either you get tired of doing it or find the rare monster you were looking for. I hope that helps

Hi, welcome to the forums .

Firstly you need to find the rare you want to find. This rare must be obtained by killing a rare monster (E.g. Pal rappy, Nar Lily). Once you have decided on the rare you want to obtain, you need to decide whether you want to use a quest or battle through a normal level and get to a place to pipe...If you wanted an item off a rare rappy, then you would select the Fake in Yellow quest for large amounts of rappys. In this example we want to obtain a star amplifier from a Pal rappy. We would get to the ultimate difficulty and select the Fake in Yellow quest, get up to the part were 8 rappys fall from the sky, check whether any of them is a pal rappy or not, make a telepipe and go down it, once you get to pioneer you go back down your pipe and since its offline the monster information isn't saved on a server and the monsters are reset every time you go back to ragol giving you a chance of finding a rare monster. Once you have piped your monster, kill it and hope that it will drop your item. That’s piping in general for you.

When you pipe you are NOT cheating what so ever. You are just influencing the chances of finding a rare enemy your way, it isn’t going to harm anyone in anyway like duping, ECT...

how about, make sure u dont get the info from the enemies and make sure they dont attack u. that hour i spent a few months ago was put to waste.....

O ya, Is there any site where i can find monster drops for the different ID types and where exactly the rare monsters would be found in the different areas. Thx

Well we have drop charts for ultimate. The rare monsters are:

Al rappy, Blue rappy found on Normal, Hard and V.Hard in the forest

Pal rappy, Green and orange rappy found on Ult in the forest

Hildeblue, Blue Hildebear found on Hard and V.Hard in the forest, I think it can be found in the temple as well

Hildetorr, Large light blue Hildebear found on Ult in the temple or forest

Nar lily, Red Poison lily found on Normal, Hard and V.Hard, found in caves

Mil lily, Purple Poison lily found on Ult, found in caves and temple.

Pouilly Slime, Red Poully slime found on Normal, Hard and V.Hard, found in caves.

Love rappy, Pink rappy with bunny ears found in temple online, not sure about difficulties, I know one is Ult...

Saint rappy, Rappy dressed as a Santa. Found online only during the Xmas period

Egg rappy, Rappy with an egg as a body. Found online only during the Easter period

Hallo Rappy, Rappy with a cape and pumpkin on its head, found online only during the Halloween period.
