Yeah, that seems like the game everyone wants.
Unfortunately, the story behind PSO finished in EpIII, when Pioneer 2 finally landed.
PSU is stunning though, in my opinion.
Having a rare weapon in this one is really a social status, and is so rewarding when you get one.
On the 360 servers, I've not seen an Srank weapon yet, and only a few Aranks.
Rare items really are rare, and that's how it should be. Old favourites are making a return soon, with the Agito returning in some form, and the Psycho Wand.

Quote:Granted, PSO was lovely. But you can't say it didn't have it's flaws. Anyone remember teammates on the DC letting you die so they could rob your hard-duped Lavis Cannon? SWINES!
Yeah bloody pain in the arse really. Mostly it was the US Ships that does that. Some one robbed my S-Rank Spread that time (i picked it up randomly, though i never knew anything about legit that time) and altered my chacrater and lost all my great stuff.
Thats why i better off playing in the JP ships. They might not understand you but they play safe.

Now that really kinda convince me to buy the game. I think i heard you can get S-Rank Weapons on certern missions. but its probaly on JP servers. I read it prefly on pso-world.com. I hope they bring out most of the fun weapons. I really liked the Flowen Swords. I dont know y but i like it. Its probaly the way it swings, though its not the strongest weapon but i use it all the time even in Ultimate mode.

Noooo, you can get S-Rank Weapons. You can get the boards on certain missions as drops. I think. But that's pretty much in the S-Rank Missions. and not many people can solo them.
and they're not common.
anything of worth, you can synth, which adds a whole new perspective, and level of customisation.
You can get some nice sword type weapons in this game, along with some cool moves to go with them!
Your equipment and clothing can make you really unique in PSU.
If you decide to get it, make sure to add me on Xblive, I'll start you off in the game. ^_^

Well if i got the time to play it though. Too much stuff going on now and then. heh. Sigh..... The first time playin PSO on DC, that was the first and best online game i ever played. well i got ver2 as my first pso game. it was brilliant. I liked the Lobby music too, so calm and kinda makes you think great memories about it.
And now i ended up collecting the games. Got PSO ver1 (JP ver) PSO ver2 (EU), PSO Ep1+2 (GC+Xbox) and Ep3. I tried to find Blue Burst one in UK but they dont seem to sell in on shelf. I know you can download it but i keep seeing packages of in other web sites. Are they US and Jp only?

Download it, kiddo!
I dunno if it's really worth it though. It's not a big download, but it runs kinda poo-ey on my computer, and kinda ruined the memories I had of PSO.
It loses it's charm when it's on a PC, IMO.
I don't think PSOBB was available on the shelf here. I might be wrong.
If you already have an xbox 360, there's a 2 week demo of PSU available for download from the marketplace.
Anyway, that's me done for the night.
Night all!xo

I have download the game but i want it in a package, like in your face thinking "yeah im glad i have it in my hands"
I know wot u mean playing it on PC but its worth it with all the newer and hard levels. I mean u know that Ep 2 was kinda a disappointment with the smaller stages the beach, jungle and mountains.

PSU beats PSO in overall gameplay, but I'll say I had alot more fun on PSO for a much longer time than on PSU. Those hackers attacked the game as soon as they could. Now the PC and PS2 servers (I'd presume 360 as well, but I haven't played on it.) will wind up sharing the same fate as PSO's servers, just much sooner.

Sounds like it...seems like all of the DC/GC pricks all went to the PS2/PC version. We've got the Infamous Klan, Broomop, OptimusPrime, and just the many self absorbed "I'm cooler than you," members who don't ever care to lend a hand, or share drops...Yeah, I'd play it on a 360, if I had one.
