Trust me when i say SEGA will not leave the home entertainemnt sector. However it does seem now that Sammy HAS bought their way in.

And also sammy had nothing to do with the decision to make PSO EpIII the last one, anyway we don't even know if PSO III is the last PSO since all SEGA ever said was 'this will be the last Ragol PS game' or some crap like that.

If worse does come to worse and SAMMY does turn SEGA down the arcade road i dont think it will be for a few years yet.

I think they (Sammy) do have the last say on what they make, if Sammy own or have controlling majority over SEGA. They can say, "Never make a PSO game again" and that's it =/. But I very much doubt they would do that.

I'm not too sure actually. The (what was in-house) development teams, are companies in their own right, with SEGA controlling/financing them. I think they could split from SEGA if anything happened. They've been seperate from the company for a while now. That's why they have names (like Sonic Team, and Smilebit), and not in-house names like AM1, AM2.

As far as PSO goes, EP 3 is supposed to be the final chapter/game/story that takes place on Ragol. It does not mean the end of the series, as they could go back to the roots of the PS series.

EDIT: I don't think it would be a good movie to go down the arcade path. That future is almost certainly doom. Not enough people go to arcades anymore. In England, you most probably have to go to the seaside to get to a decent arcade. Sammy is a "pachiko" maker, which is slot machines. I guess since they are so rich and powerful, the slot machine market is big in Japan, but I don't think it's as popular in England at least. Owning Sega would give Sammy a total grip on the 'away from home' gaming centers.

True, but it works much like a democracy. So, they can't go too mad.

Anyways, the president isn't too powerful. They still have the executives above all, and I guess that would make as Congress, and it's thier decision what happens. Like they say, it's just a matter of check and balance.You'll know what I'm talking about if you've studied democracies. If not, I can't help you. Though most would know, since Ireland, Portugal, and Spain are to my knowledge.
