The Theory of the World
Does the straw in the water look like rubber when you bend it? No. It is straight. I know this for a fact. And the prism too. It just bounces off the prism, and changes direction. I'm no idiot when it comes to this.

What I'm saying is that light only travels in STRAIGHT lines.

Here's your prism. Quit ganging up on me, you and Ekwee. It is really bugging me.Angry Just here me out. . . I don't mean to sound so rude though, so don't take it literally.Tongue

AHHHHHHHH! Your avatar scared me!Tongue

Ok. I guess I didn't know for fact that it "bends". That is very strange. I admit I was wrong! I have yet to learn many things. Glad I talk to you guys!Tongue

. . . wait! It says it like this: "bends". So are you sure it bends like this:

ROFL you posted a pic of light bending through a prism as proof that light doesn't bend XD classic!

Yeah light 'generally' only travels in straight lines. But it can bend through things, like your picture clearly shows Tongue In fact the prism picture also shows white light being split into RGB at the same time!

However this does also depend oh how you define a bend o_O it's a term with pretty flexible (or bendy Smile ) applications.

You might not regard the simple changing of the speed or direction of light as a bend!

I see the broken-ness of teh siggy. Sad

In regards to Little Killer... Yeah, I've read the books, by my avatar and Custom Title one would assume. I am a Storm Leader a Tsorovan'm'hael.

Well, technically, matter can escape a black hole, but only by the massive amount of x-ray radio waves that excite them right as they reach the brink. And, yes we can see black holes. You forget what quasars are Anti. Big Grin

But then aren't you seeing the quasar powered by the supermassive black hole, not the black hole itself? You can locate black holes by their effects, I know that Tongue

You're visualizing the black hole as invisible, but they aren't....They're black. If one passed infront of a telescope that was focused on a cluster of stars...you would see the bending light on the event horizon, and then literally, a black hole. As if someone cut out a hole in the sky, and that hole was black. =P

I like how they say that the energy that comes out of a black hole goes the speed of light.

That's why they also say that our black hole is dormant, becouse it requires infinate ammounts of energy to do that. They say inside the black hole ( which would be impossible to get to ) Would vaporize you instantly. . . creepy.

I also fugured something out. Why don't we harness the energy of the solar winds to create energy, since is already a near pure form of energy? (made of protons and neutrons)

THAT'S WHAT I WAS TRYING TO SAY THIS WHOLE TIME!! :'( I am so misunderstood. . .

Coming up with a device that could harness the energy from solar winds will take to much time and money I'm afraid.

. . . why can't everything be cheap? But still, wouldn't that be a good move to make?
