Twilight Princess

Seems like it might be a bit awkward letting off some of those techniques.

Nah, I find it a lot more fluid on the GCN version. They're simple button combinations and the buttons are even displayed on-screen for you when you can perform the technique. XD

And my wrists are in perfectly good condition... I just can't stand that stupid Revo controller, so thus is why I have no interest in the darn thing. =P Maybe when they release a bunch of good games that allow for the use of a regular controller I might consider getting the system... but not anytime soon, I have better things to waste money on. Then, you'll probably never get a Wii...lol. Oh, so it's a spur of the moment thing. -Does not appreciate Link being a rightie in the Wii version.-
Well, I guess right now, the Wii is the closest I've got to my dream of a battle simulator from Star Ocean 3.

But the Wiimote doesn't really do much for adaptability, does it? If you swing the 'mote anywhere, the slash is exactly the same. Now if they made a Soul Caliber-ish game that used the 'mote and let you attack like that, with different slashes and stuff, THAT I would buy a Wii for.

Not entirely sure of the Wiimote capacity yet, however, if I can perform CPR by pushing the wiimote forward, or pull pins out of a bomb with it, I think it can sense direction of movement. o-o

In other games yeah, but Twilight Princess is like 'slash with the 'mote anywhere' = 'basic slash on game'. Regardless of if you swing it left to right, or right to left.

Probably because there's no lefty mode.

Surely they could have done that. It's not much, but it would give the game a little bit of a change.

It's because it was designed for the Gamecube. They didn't want to make the two versions too different to be fair for everyone. And you'd be surprised how much effort it would take to program such fine-point motion sensing and having Link perform actions based on that.

As for putting in the lefty-mode... for the sake of completion Nintendo would probably want to flip everything back and forth depending on what mode you set it to... which if it was added into the game, would probably significantly increase load-time so the game could detect your current hand-mode selection and prepare the data associated with it. It's a minor nuicense, but the game's still quite good for either system. Tongue

Oh yeah. I never really looked at that side of it, but I guess you're right.
