Maha/Mia sorta...make a cameo appearance in GU, although you might need to play the first 4 games to understand (at least the 4th.) I'm not too sure about that Blackrose junk, though, since in Volume 2 of GU, you're still Haseo. All you get in Volume 1 from Blackrose is an accident mail for uploading your data from Volume 4, intended for Kite, it just pertains to how things were when they met eachother. Also take into account, in GU, Blackrose would be 25...and she swore off The World at 15..ish.

Elk and Piros are in GU, though. You'll know them both the second you see them.

I've only just started getting into to .Hack. I've only just bought part 1 of the game...It reminds me alot of phantasy star to be honest. but thats probably cause it is trying to mimic that type of game. and I watched part 1 of liminality which is pretty good. Never read any of the manga D=

Practically, yes...if you kill Zelos and keep Kratos, you only get like....1 sidequest.

The .hack games really aren't much like Phantasy Star Online aside from one aspect:
They're f---ing repetitive.
But their storyline will keep you going.

Well yeah, but Zelos has the best voice acting and personality in the game. Kratos gets Judgement though....


No, these are nothing like Phantasy Star, they were a good idea but executed poorly. The "World" was more interesting than my back yard, but less than masturbation. And the story wasn't that much more interesting, though if the game really did exist, and you could Matrix "Jack" yourself into it, I totally would. Otherwise WoW is Sooooo much better.

Meh...I like Kratos voice actor! ...Zelos is alright to though. Just think Kratos is better =D

.Hack is pretty repetitive especially when you get game over and have to go all the way back D=

I don't know, Kiwi. WoW lasted me all of a weekend game-wise, and the visuals are abysmal.

As for .hack...you need to save. Alot. Before you go anywhere, save, because there are almost always unexpected surprises. xD

I'm not saying the game isn't going to be repetitive, but it's the community and the skills, and the gameplay. It is with out a doubt the best MMO on the market. The graphics are gorgeous on a good computer. It's not gorgeous as in textured-mapping Gears of War pretty, but the colorful, comic inspired art goes well with the game.
