Kireek's Story
#1
I'm looking into backstories and such on PSO, and I've come across something that stuck in my mind.

The android Kireek says in one quest that he's called 'The Black Hound'. Why? Also he says something about his rival on Pioneer 1. Who is that? Unless Kireek knew Flowen or someone like that, and I doubt Flowen would fraternize with someone like Kireek.

I think that he is called the black hound because he is used as a search and destroy android. His rival might be either Bernie or Zoke.

Kireek is introduced in "Battle Training," in which he is your partner in your search for Ash, as well as your teacher in the art of fighting the wild animals of Ragol. If you follow the "Sue Subplot," however, Kireek reappears in "Waterfall Tears," "Black Paper," and "From the Depths," where it is revealed that Kireek is a high-ranking member of Black Paper: he is the group's executioner, the Black Hound.
about the rival........:S ...i don't know.

Yeah, I spotted that in the sub-plot. The rival thing irks me no end though, and it seems too much to be sheer coincidence that Kireek is the one who attacks Ash in From the Depths. I was thinking maybe Ash found something out that was too much, and thus required silencing. Although there is also the way Kireek's actions changed throughout, and how by the end he seemed to be malfunctioning.

She said it right. Anyway, the reason that I said that Bernie or Zoke would be his rival is because Bernie is is searching for information on Black Paper, but he wants to give the information to Zoke. Plus they all die in the ruins for some strange reason.

Hell, I totally missed that it was Bernie in the ruins with Zoke. At one point I thought there might be something about Donoph Baz there too, because he, Zoke, and Flowen were all friends.

I think that you might find out more about the predicament that you are in if you do the Bernie subplot. Oh, yeah, they are the only two characters with subplots. That might also answer your question.

How do you get the Bernie subplot? I don't think there was a guide on the main section for it...
