Sonic Adventure 2 - Gameplay Videos!

Just for the heck of it, I've been using my TV Tuner to record myself playing the old Gamecube game, Sonic Adventure 2 - Battle. I've recorded all of the stages and bosses, including a couple bonuses too! Only one mission from each though... recording all 5 missions from each stage would not only be pointless, but it'd take up too much harddrive space. XD

The following is the list of stages I've recorded sorted by character. Just click the stage name to view the video, it'll open a YouTube page.

I'll edit this post for any additional videos. Hope anyone who watches them enjoys them! Those who've watched them so far say I'm pretty good... so you all decide if I am or not... XD

For anyone who hasn't played Sonic Adventure 2 before... this will give you a really good idea as to what gameplay is like!

NOTE: Since these are now stored on YouTube the video quality is lower than the original videos that are on my harddrive, so if one would want the original recording then they'd have to ask me for it.

November 18th, 2007 - I've added all of my videos of every stage and all the bosses too from my YouTube account. Enjoy!

May 1st, 2007 - Only a new bonus video today, Final Rush - Maximum Rails! Due to on-going heavy workloads and slight gaming addictions that's all for now. The video is STRONGLY recommended though as the run took a great deal of effort to pull off.

April 1st, 2007 - Added Green Forest, Prison Lane, Aquatic Mine, Final Chase, Sand Ocean, and Dry Lagoon. Green Forest and Sand Ocean are the recommended ones this time. Prison Lane's frame rate gets rather dodgy for awhile a minute or two into the video so I may do another take of it. Only a few stages left, lets hope my video software decides to cooperate as it took me about 30 tries to record Green Forest due to continual frame rate issues from the crummy software.

March 23rd, 2007 - Added Mission Street, Wild Canyon, Weapons Bed, Sky Rail, and Egg Quarters. Wild Canyon and Sky Rail are the recommended videos of this batch as both are short, and quite sweet. Belated Update: Added the Infinite Animal Use Tutorial bonus video! Check it out!

March 22nd, 2007 - Added Crazy Gadget, Route 101, Pumpkin Hill, Lost Colony, and Route 280. Crazy Gadget is personally recommended due to some of the crazy stuff I pulled off during that stage. Belated Update: Added Radical Highway now that my computer's stable again.

I never liked much sonic a. 2, the gameplay was boring, my friend told me that later in the game it is awsome, but........i could not take it anymore.....

The gameplay's far from boring Kireek. Once you know what you're doing with each of the characters, the gameplay is very fun and enjoyable! To test yourself to see just how fast you can pull of the stages, how many bonus points you can rack up, get all the emerald pieces without using a clue, or see what crazy stuff you can pull to lock-on amazing amounts of enemies with Tails or Eggman!

Personally, Sonic Adventure 2 has been my favourite 3d Sonic game by a long-shot. Sonic Adventure was okay, but there just wasn't enough to do, and I only really liked Sonic's stages, despite Gamma's being similar to the Tails/Eggman stages of SA2 and Knuckles stages being the same... it was less in-depth and far too easy to set off a clue sphere and lose points! XD

All-in-all... watch the videos to see just how fun the game can be! Replicating my crazy gameplay can give the game a good boost for some. I tend to use my head quite a bit when playing this game... such as memorizing the detection radius of the emerald radar, their more common locations, memorizing stages to know just what to pull off and how to do it fast, and figuring out a way to get more points than I'm supposed to.

My Iron Gate video definitely shows how I can add a little creativity to a stage... instead of doing what the game sets out for you... I take a risk and simply jump over it and gain a ton of bonus points in the process! XD

The chao system is also a LOT more in-depth in Sonic Adventure 2. If I hadn't had my SA2 data corrupt 3 times due to breaking or corrupting third-party memory cards, I'd still raise them... but now it's just too annoying doing it again. XD The chao I raised to win the races and karate is good enough.

So yeah... watch... enjoy, and all that other stuff. XD I'll probably post a few more tonight.

sweet videos, due to the speed you beat those and the criatures you kill the game becomes less boring..........(only less )

altought i like the game, such as graphics and bigger levels.....i will still play sonic a. 1, your amazing gameplay will not affect me pink...muahahahahaha

*giggles* Aye, I realize Sonic Adventure 2 tends to appeal only to a more selected crowd, while Sonic Adventure seemed to appeal to a larger, different crowd. Both games are good, I just like SA2 better... the fact that I don't personally own Sonic Adventure for the Gamecube probably makes a difference... XD I've only ever rented it for a week... and that's all it took to beat it... on the Gamecube version when you get more emblems and clear mission mode you unlock Game Gear games... I unlocked Tails's Adventure, and beat it... not a bad game really. XD

I like SA2B better, because SA1 was really annoying to play after a while, and pretty repetitive. And pink, you're good.

Added in a new video for everyone except Shadow today. I WAS trying to record Radical Highway as well, but due to ongoing computer issues I decided to format the thing last night... it's running infinitely better now. XD

i could movies of sonic adventure 1, but the keyboard o my pc is not perfect for the game, and i would need some time to find out the correct speed for the game (game speed and fraps program using)
