I just got to level 20 and I don't know how to use hard mode,help quickly

if you online whtn you can make and join hard mode games, if you offline how ever you have to beat normal mode ruins to access hard offline.

Offline or Multiplayer:

20 - Hard
40 - Very Hard
80 - Ultimate

It doesn't matter what level you are offline, you could be on lv50 and be able to play on ultimate. Kinda cool, but you can still get your ass kicked which isn't fun :\

Little tip on de ro le. If you're using a ranger pick him off with a rifle weapon. If you're using a force try to use spells like Gizonde and Rafoie (chain hits) and make sure to have lots of fluids. If you're a hunter wait for him to jump up onto your raft thing, then you can get two full combos in on him if you attack right away (i've timed this) and then just run around to dodge his tentacle, then you can get in about 1 more combo per time and after each combo then run around to dodge his tentacle. When he sends up those little things on the ship just hope you have some TP for resta. Make sure you're up to date on your Resta, and if at all possible have Resta and Deband. Hope that helps.
