It's just the depression, and the fact that (I think) he had tried to commit suicide before would have been enough to keep him from purchasing a lethal weapon...

Well, there are now new tapes released, they are about him telling his tale.
He made these videos before he started the killing, pictures and everything.
I wish I had the link I would show them to you, I will look for it.
He is twisted, I think it is interesting listening to him talk. I find it entertaining, is that weird?

quite sick really, and the worst (for me) is and member of the u.s can go buy a gun and ammo, i belive that they should tighten up this rule alot, run background checks ect... (my opinun) And its in law that anyone is allowed legally to buy this sort of stuff, even semi-automatic mechine guns

Background checks are performed. Anyone with a criminal charge isnt allowed to legally buy a gun. I might be wrong but I'm nearly positive that there is no such thing as a semi-automatic machine gun.

A background check did take place for Cho but his record was clean. The only thing on there was a couple of minor speeding tickets, nothing that would've prevented him from buying the gun. His depression most likely had nothing to do with it.

After watching a few clips from there damn. This guy was pretty fucked up. It sounds like an extreme case of bullying and being pushed around.

They don't sell semi-automatic guns legally to people, like Phantom said, I am pretty sure.
So far, according to his friends, he bought a suite with about five of his friends, and he lived with them for almost 2 years. He said almost nothing the whole time he lived with him.
So bullying probably is not the major factor, though I am sure he was made fun of, I think the lack of attention is what pushed him over. He never got attention as a kid, so now he wanted it.

Well that's not entierly true, I wasn't given alot of attention when I was younger and I turned out ok. He most likely couldn't see another way out of the situation.

*sigh* It's very sad when you look at that list of shooting incidents in America, but then again, it also made me realize how lucky I am because I don't live there anymore. :S I don't mean to brag, but with everything that's been going on lately in America, it makes people think.
