one thing you probably should know is that all the different versions of Seph are usually massively overpowered but by tweaking stuff you can average him out so everyone's happy!

I'm pretty sure he should be overpowered. He's practically a death god! Averaging him out would be "balancing" which I regard as no fun and it takes the realism out of games. I mean look what happened to >insert random RTS title here<. Mind you is a game has seph in it really doesn't have any realism sooo...

Anyway, I had a quick look at mugen and here's what I think:

The characters I personally want to play with are either no longer hosted online or poorly done

You CANT use a joypad. Fighters without pads FTL

The play window is tiny. It's set to around 300 pixels in width. And you can't enlarge it.

Too many freakin buttons. Who the hell needs 20+ buttons excluding directional keys? 2D Fighters should be 4-6 keys. Except not keys, buttons, because they should be on a joypad!

Not on a console

Outdated graphically even by SNES titles

ok ok ok before evryone starts freaking out, i'll quell your fears!

first, Tom Hanks is overpowered. does that make him a death god????

second, you need to look around for characters. gimme a list of who you want and i'll point you in the right direction.

third, you CAN use a joypad. you just have to know how to configure it. i personally use my wired Xbox 360 controller. works a charm

fourth, you CAN enlarge the play window.

fifth, when you have a joypad, its only six buttons.

sixth, yes its not on a console. but hey, you'd have to pay for it on a console!

and finally seventh, what you saw was most likely the default screenpack that comes with the program itself and yes it is outdated but you can find hundreds of other screenpacks from games such as Capcom VS SNK 2, Marvel VS Capcom 2, and even Hosted ones such as Zelda and Castlevania!

Wow, you actually have quelled all my fears! If what you say is true then I do indeed want to have more of a play with it. I'd like (if they're not done well I'd rather not have them. Don't care much about balance):

This is the same guy from before showing you how to use your controller! its really pretty simple once you know how.

dunno bout Sheik and Vincent, but the rest are definitely available. check out this site for lots of characters and check the forums for the ones you cant find.

Question: I have random white text and code which take up a large proportion of my screen as I play. Some error code or something. It has the word "Var" in it, repeated. How do I clear it awai? It annoys me!
