You can't use PSO on the Wii to go online. I was gonna try setting up the private server on there. But it says I need a broadband adapter or modem...too bad there's already a wireless adapter built into the Wii... =x lmao.

And thank god for that!!
Still rocking pso on GC and BB...on that server that everyone knows about.

This was the first question I asked when it was announced that Wii could play GC games. Well. Wii just lost a potential customer, not that they're really going to mind. :S

I believe there are people that HAVE gotten it working... There's a separate adapter that allows the Revo to have a corded connection instead of wireless... so basically it's exactly like with a Gamecube... you need to buy an adapter first. =P It'd be nice if someone could confirm this though.

Hm, what sucks though is I run my computer through wi-fi. (I have my own home network now) So I'd have to spend money on that, plus a long enough CAT-wire to my dad's router downtairs...
Since Nintendo does make Wii updates...why not just make an update for GCN online games to be usable through the built in modem...? Which is only PSO but still...>.>;

I don't imagine Nintendo's too fond of the Phantasy Star series after Sega's rejection of giving the Revo PSU, so I doubt they'll be so kind as to make such a patch. =P Not that PSU would've made them any money or anything...

Well you can keep dwelling on the fact the the Wii can't play PSO or you can always get a Gamecube. It's about $50 used and get a modem for it.

Wow that's a lot, here in England you can get a used gamecube for about £15, but that's probably because we've got loads of chavs who think Nintendo sucks and Sony is the best, but they're chavs, so noone really gives one.
