Episode 3! Yeah, They add Episode 3 in AOI I just played the first mission yesterday! And it has FMVs and stuff (only to play online), the stages are really hard (in concept of traps and mazes) but really a challenge with the timelimits, lol I discovered now you can make your character choose what to say, no more silent hero yay! >:3

Yeah, The PC and PS2 is stand alone, it doesnt require PSU to play, it comes updated, can transfer your character and play normal PSU missions and can play with normal PSU players, if you have normal PSU and see a yellow name player doing weird stuff, last warning, its not a bug or a hax.

The weird stuff basically amounts to them holding invisible weapons, because the normal game doesn't know what to do 'bout 'em.

... And in AoI Offline Mode, which you transfer your PSU Extra Mode data to and get to have actual fun offline. =O

... And is also an expanded version of PSU's Online Ep. 2.

Well actually is same as online since they added the featured weapons and stuff.. The only thing that lacks are some custom outfits and the advanced classes, Well they hax the basic 3 to make you get a similar style to the one you preferred lol. And finally, Humans are finally good!

I almost forgot, since you create a chara in story mode, there is no more extra mode, still you can do free missions and can get up to buy A ranks stuff and play the PSU extra missions since the moment when you start playing before the first mission (obviously first you'll need to do the first two chapters to get the flight permissions to Moatoob and Neudaiz, but Parum and Clyez city are accessible, except HIVE, you can start off an AOI mission going to parum, the mission is called Scarred Planet at Holtes City:East.)

Humans are good if you know how to play them. Also A rank stuff sounds shit, considering offline extra mode on PSU you can buy S rank equipment already, this sounds like a step backwards.

You can't in AoI. So try get them first, But in the terms humans are good is that now that there is an equipment really fitting for humans, the R-Mags! I dunno where the R stands, I think it's a parody of R-Type. It's a Mag that is placed at left hand, so you equip a saber, claw, slicer or whatever, this mag will randomly shoot to enemies meanwhile you are attacking, also you can synth it to make it shoot a certain element. Why humans are best using this? Well, Techers cant use S rank version of this one online only fighters, and to make optimal damage you need a character with best balance between ATP and TP, so there goes the human! Also that the class that use S slicer + S R-Mag online the only boost gained is for humans and for 105%, not 103% like the other classes bonuses.

And about the shops I mean: You got the full list, not unlike PSU Extra mode that you got certain weapons missing of some brand that you got to travel along the planets to get them, in worst case was some weapons whose A rank werent in sale so you were going with crappy B rank then save a lot to jump instantly to S. You got the full list like online mode.

Hmm. I don't like the sound nor look of the Mags. I think I'll just stick to making a dominatrix-style character, so she can whip enemies into submission. Mwehehehe. And since Humans don't have the awesome ears like Beasts of Newmans, they'll get dumped anyway, by me.

Also, why does AoI seem to be sounding less and less good every time I hear about it...

Well. Wasn't PSU like that when it just launched? Well I'll tell ya, they only added 4 quests more than PSU when it just launched, this quests are online only, which sucks that if you want to play all the new stages you must wait for those updates, the new PAs hasn't been introduced yet, and there is so much dispute about a new mixbread techer class called Acrotecher replacing the Forces, same case as the "broken HUnewearl" replacing FOnewearls in PSO. Slicers are wrong, they will be fixed in meanwhile, the number of hunter classes increased a lot since the new system is bugged enough that doesnt help rangers or forces with the new features. We can recall the same example when the day WoW beta came (LOL Broken paladins > All), the game itself was a total crap ONLY becuz of it's bugs! that will get fixed during the pass of time.

That means nothing to us who aren't going to play online. When we got PSU it started out buggy and shit, and stayed buggy and shit. That's the problem with ST these days, they won't listen to consumers. Examples, the sheer lack of content offline, the LAG offline (WTF is the point of having laggy sections when you're not connected to an online server?) I could go on.

If you mean about the laggy effect that does even in Offline mode, try this if you got a good monitor (and having AOI). Turn your refresh rate to 70-75 Hz and play without VSync, helped me a lot, also with the most cruel stages of PSOBB for your hardware! like Seabed and Subterranean desert.
