True, but i believe there are ways to keep people alive. I don't know, maybe i read to much Asimov.

Not forever though. And cryostasis doesn't count as a prevention for death.

There isn't a cure for death, and it's a silly thing to try and do anyway. People die, but people are born as well. If nobody died, people would still be born. The world has countries that are overpopulated as it is, what would happen if nobody could die?

Well in the sense that if a person can't die then they wouldn't be able to reproduce.
A person is defined by there own consciousness. As medical tech. advances more prosthetics become available to patients who need replacement parts, but then this opens up the question can an advanced AI who became aware of it's own existence be considered alive.

I can't believe it...
I came on saw this post, frantically clicked for it, and I swear my heart dropped a few ribs down... I feel for his family and everyone who knew him, it's truly tragic to die at such a young age... I actually have tears at my eyes right now. And the whole 'internal expiry' all links to religion, after all, our bodies should 'technically' not be able to die of old age, but they do, and for no proven reason, it just all goes back to the sin of Adam and Eve and the old age and eventual death placed upon them and all humankind that came from them as punishment. I'm religious, those are my beliefs, but I respect Nomercy in every way, and he shall be greatly missed. We shall remember you as long as we all shall live, Gareth.

An AI could stay alive forever if you look at it that way. Just because it is artificial.
