So, I'm in a position where I CAN buy a Gamecube broadband adapter, but if I'll be able to use it to play all these unofficial servers. Any advice from anyone who knows what they're talking about?
Again, sorry for asking such a noob question. I just don't want to waste $30 if it won't let me play online.

Yeah you can play on the unoffical server. There only one server i know for the gamecube and thats schthack server. There about 30 or more players there so if you play alot you will quickly know everyone and thats pretty cool!

Sweet. Managed to be online for a whole day, then I keep getting 102 errors despite having working internet connection on ALL the computers in the house and five-times-redone settings/info, and on top of that, I lose two weapons and about +62 in grinders.

Errors on the lobby screen are usually errors related to you not being able to reach the server in time.
[SIZE="1"]100 - You have been disconnected, just reconnect
101 - Means the server is down or the IP changed. In that case ping one of the hosts[/SIZE].
102 - PSO can't reach the server, check your IPs and try different IPs.
015 - Is the dhcp error, try setting a static ip on the gc.
Now that's a really weird error lol, keep trying i guess.
But how did you lost those items?

I dunno, when I signed off for the night last night, all was good. Then I try to get online today, multiple failures. I then give up and head to offline.
Nothing but my 8 equips.

You will lose all your things except your equip if close the game without saving or got the fsod. It happen to me a few times and it really sucks! But that don't stop me from playing online!
I'm going to be online tomorrow on the gamecube so maybe i see you there!

Thing is, I haven't gotten an FSOD and saved every three seconds. I don't get why I lost them.
