Massive battle guides update!
#1
At last!

We have finaly updated the battle mode section of the guides. We have added guides for stages:

One Two Three Four Five Six

We have two or three images for each stage of battles going on, some of them are ace others not so good but we did our best! Maps will be coming soon as we get them made and we will update the guides as soon as we have them.

Post your feedback in this thread.

Yes, some of the images were quite a bit fuzzy, and my appologies for that. But i came to an advatage for this image. Haha, we liked this one best, but we wish it could've come out a bit clearer. -.-

Other than that, we hope you enjoy 'em!

you guys left out some important details for all the battles (the lag combo) and some important info for rules 1/2/6. Lets start in order

Lag Combo: Soooooo essential especially in rule 2 (and 6 to a degree). There are two different ways to do this, the second is more effective but even i havent mastered it... The first way is to simply draw out your combo, if youre using a saber it would be done like this: weak hit..weak hit(this hits when theyre invincible)........strong hit (just before your ability to get the last hit in dies out, hit the strong and itll connect so you get 2 decent hits in). If youre using a Handgun you would do: weak....strong......strong (same principle as the first combo, second attack doesnt connect, etc). The second way of doing this is to have all your attack buttons set on the regular command list (where you DONT have to hit R to access them) and while youre attacking, hit R so some of the hits dont connect (even if they wouldve normally, by hitting R, it somehow glitches the game, like if you hit start, you hits dont hit). Take note that this method only works best when you have a weapon that hits a lot like mechgun or twin sabers.

Important note for rule 1:

None of the battlers stats, levels, or equipment change so take heed of who you fight. This rule has the most cheaters (though 2 and 3 have some and ill explain later).

Important note for rule 2:
The trimates- On the other side of the only electric fence in the area is ALWAYS 2 trimates. If youre a HUmar or any form of RA and you get a Handgun, at level1 these can be yours. Key usage of these are essential. I would say (and seeing as im good at rule 2 i think its good advice), dont use these until 3:30 minutes or less remaining, or until your at least level 16-21. Any thing before would be a waste, by those levels you have a high(er) amount of TP, you can get 4 spells per level and you have a lot of hp so keeping yourself at full at those levels can get you 2 or even 3 kills ahead.

The possible monomate(s): in the room with all the break away walls, theres one wall placed between two pillars opposite of the north door and southeast of the west door. It can be broken and once in that little area you can go on an outer walkway with 3 boxes. There is almost always some meseta and a random item (or 2) in the remaining boxes. Sometimes its a mate, sometimes its an antidote, ive even gotten a telepipe once (lmao). But its definitely worth checking out (now you see why me and Bumble do so well in the tournament lol *devilish laugh* we played lots of rule 2 before this tourney and knew all these little things)

Note about cheaters in r2/r3- Some losers like to use AR codes (action replay codes) to get to level 200 in the game. Well now some freaking dumbasses found a way to apply that code to battle mode. Me and Bumble once fought a RAmar in rule 3 and after he killed on monster he leveled to 200...However, me and bumble bee almost killed him a few times (thats what happens to cheaters, they never develop their fighting skills, it was basically a noob against 2 experts, he only won because he had good stats but stood no chance in any other way). Another way ive seen somebody cheat using AR is the invincibility cheat. This blows because unlike the level 200 code, this code works in any rule. Unless you hit them hard enough where it wouldve killed them in one hit normally, they cant die (if you hit them, their life doesnt go down, but if the hit wouldve killed them in one hit normally, they still die from it).

Important note about rule 6:
Killing teammates (the sole reason why i think r6 displays no skill)
If youre playing a team rule 6 (4 people, 2 on 2), the only way to win is to kill your weak teammate before the other team gets the chance (so your teammate loses 1000, you gain none but thats better than your teammate losing 1000 and the other team gaining 1000). I truly hate that about rule 6
because all it is is "tech, tech, shoot, slash *teammate says "km" (kill me)* and you kill them, over, and over, and over... but a lot of people specialize in rule 6, sticky is one and there are many others i know. As good as me and bumble are at rule 2, as a team weve gotten our asses handed to us in rule 6 many times.

misc:
im pretty sure somebody here has mentioned the freeze trap/gifoie trick, but ill reiterate. You stand on the opposite side of a wall from someone (or right next to them if youre feeling ballzy) and drop a freeze trap then about a second later, cast gifoie. You both freeze, the opponent is hit by gifoie, if youre like me you can break ice in less than a second and get some more hits in.
PSO is a game of my past but those I came in contact with are still a part of me.

Most of those should be in the battle mode tips and tricks guide. Which is seperate from all the rest.

In the maps we will include keys, with lables to help find things...

I don't like the lag trick, its just a cheap way of killing your opponent, the cowards way out in my oppinion.

the first method (the way i do it) isnt cheating at all, it requires skill, and its just playing the buffer time the game gives to person whos been hit. Its perfectly legit, the other way however, is literally lagging the game, that is cheap. My way can be easily stopped as well, especially if youre doing the saber one. All you have to do is hit the person lol. Its not the cowards way if youre right in their face...

Thanks for contributing to the guides but we did out best. Most of the things you said didnt have to do with the actual guides but another one called battle tips and tricks, which can be found here
