Nintendo's 'Outrageous Fortune' on BBC3!
#11
It was a good program that shudnt have been missed by anyone! However incase you did miss it, due to being misinformed (Some people!), catch it again...

Saturday April 24th - 8:00pm - BBC 3
Sunday April 25th - 1:00am - BBC 3

Next weeks is on Monday at the sametime featuring Wal-Mart, the American supermarket giant, the same people who also took over ASDA's here. Thats where you might have heard of them before! But its not honestly as interesting is it!

The whole series of Outrageous Fortunes programs will be shown on BBC 2 later on in the year, for those who don't have BBC 3 priviledges!

It was a poor program in my eyes. Badly researched and extremely biased.

It was implying that only Nintendo games cause the photo sensitive seizures when in actual fact it could be any game or any TV program. Some how they failed to mention that. Also the fact that you have epilepsy, it isn't caused by the lights, it is triggered by them.

All the stuff about the love hotels, the taxi firm and Go! was just unnecessary filler. Why she wanted an interview with Yamuichu San so badly was beyond me, he's the ex-president. Besides, he would have torn her apart.

To top it off though, Wind Maker, what the hell is Wind MAKER?!

lol, Wind Maker that was funny, and i agree with you there about the epilepsy, i would have like to seen other console games under the machine, but i think she was picking up more the fact of they've been doing it for a while now and havent changed their methods since. Megaman X is a Capcom game to the best of my knowledge, so Nintendo cant really be blamed for that...but they did pick up on other bits and pieces during the program. It was interesting to watch, but what do you expect from the BBC eh!

I've read those stupid warnings in the booklets before. I don't have epilepsy and nobody in my family (not just immediate family) has ever had it or any other major condition for that matter. I don't think people should be able to sue Nintendo for things like that because THEY DO put warnings on the game and that puts Nintendo in the clear but some people are just :p and don't pay attention to those warnings.

Yer i no but experts claim the warnings should be made more clear and on the actual box. It shouldn't be just in a warning booklet because its not the thing kids read!

(Silly kids......dum de dum.....).

They have a point but still its a very small number of the population who suffer with epilepsy.

If you look at the back of the game case it has a warning on it.
I wish I could watch this show but I only get BBC

I cant honestly say i've looked for a warning imparticularly...

*Goes and gets a few games*

No i cant see one anywhere on the case covers, but on some it does say refer to the game warning booklet inside for more details. But its common sense really for anyone who does play games to realise it could cause such issues.

You don't get BBC 3 then? They did say the series would be repeated on BBC 2 sometime during the year. If i find out the dates, i'll let you know nearer the time.

huh, thats weird on the back of all my GC game on the back of the case it say in red capital letters:
WARNING: PEOPLE WHO ARE PHOTOSENSITIVE (HAVE HAD SEIZURES INDUCED BY FLASHING LIGHTS OR PATTERNS) SHOULD NOT PLAY VIDEO GAMES WITHOUT FIRST SEEING A DOCTOR

the BBC I get is just called BBC (not 2 or 3)

Yer i have just realised your not a U.K. resident! In which case i doubt you'll ever see the light of 'Outrageous Fortunes', well... at least not for a while, but have a look anyways, on whatever the U.S. BBC website is!

Also the game boxes must differ, and it cud b for that reason that they do that in the U.S. as the cases brought up in the programme were all American! There is no such writing on our game covers. I can put one online if you want to see how they differ! lol
