EU Server Name Change

Following the 24 hours downtime for the XBL upgrade the name of one of the EU PSOX servers has changed.

It used to be 51:Iolite, its now 51:Garnet.


I prefered the old name

No, no idea. I've posted on the Xbox forums trying to get more info. I'll let you know when I do.

i gotta feeling thats it to do with the updates ST are probably making for PSOX and more than likely a name change is part of this,perhaps the removal of territories or servers?

Well I emailed Sega Europe about it, and here is their reply.

Thank you for your email. We do not have any information about why the name of the server changed.

With regard to the new online content, we expect it will appear shortly.
Microsoft was updating its Xbox live version from version 2 to 3 and during
that time they were unable to upload any new material. Now that the version
update is complete, they are testing the new content.

We have no information about any planned link up between the EU, the USA and Japan.

hmmm,thats weird, ne ideas y they'd change the name? perhaps using the name Iolite for PSO:BB?
