I'm sorry, when i saw the thread and question i got confused, are you asking which id you should have got or the good side of being a whittill?

Edit: Whatever, I'll answer both, i have to get off so i may as well do something.

Best ID for hunters: Skyly, insanely amazing weapons that you find on ult, if you know where to look.

Whittill: Good for hunters, but you need a lot of patience, you won't find much f anything good until ultimate and you'll find loads of slicer of assasins and diska of libertators.

nothing more to it. skylys are the best hunter class, and they find a lot of hunter weapons even at v hard mode. whitills are bad, because they only find slicers, until ultimate mode. then they get some good weapons. if u are under lv 20, and u dont have a problem with playing a lot, i would start a new character, and get it to be a skyly. here is a helpful section id calculator
PSO 1 and 2 characters
TON : lv100 : Greennill : Sange and Yasha +30
X : lv31 : Yellowboze : Justy-23st +15

your not write. I have never found a slicer and I am at the ruins.I also find an average of 5 meterials in each section of the mines.but i stil havent found a rare :'(

what mode? You'll find slicer of assasin in hard, diska of liberator in v.hard, and braveman in ult, almost the same with redria, but less slicer of assasin and more braveman.

your not going to get any good rares in normal mode. once you get to hard mode, u might find some good things.
