PSO: Blue Burst Open Beta?

Sega announced the beta months ago and began taking registrations for it then. You had to be a Japanese resident to receive the pack and it only works on Japanese OS's.

It is too late to be part of it now.

If that game comes out in US, I am probably no going to get it, unless it comes for the GC, well see how insanely hacked that game will be when it comes out, because for the PC, there wont be any avoiding it. It will be the DC days all over again.

Erm, I think you should read more about the game before passing it off as a hack fest >.>

Firstly, there is server side saving, so cheating is made much more difficult due to ST having your data on their servers. Secondly, there are going to be game moderators (who look like the ninja that some cheaters ared into the game offline on Gc a while back). These game moderators will enter games and dispose of cheaters or so ST claim and will be a constant presence to deter any would-be cheaters.

PSO-BB will have a whole new level, complete with new enemies, a better shortcut system that lets you bind many techs/moves/items and will have a new NPC who gives a new tier of quests and brings a new storyline to the game.

BETA testing for Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst begins on May 21st 2004. It can be gained by downloading online or by collecting a disk from 2 Japanese magazines, although to play you must register through SEGA of Japan, and have a Japanese Windows Operating System, which is a bit of a bummer for the rest of the world!

Before was the BETA trialing of Blue Burst, which is totally different aparently! This is the final piece after all game development has finished and been put together so now all that has to be done is to test it and remove any bugs and so forth until the games final release. Still no word on an outside of Japan release though....

I think I will wai till it comes out for the GC, if i does, if it doesnt, thats fine by me. I am not going to risk spending money on an insanely hacked game, because sega says theyll do alo of things, and they never do, the first few PSO games have shown that, so I am not going to risk wasting money so I can get NOLed, FSODed, and warped into walls very 5 seconds.

it probably wont come out on gc because basically (with the exception of the new monster and level) it is a pc version of pso 1 & 2
