You plug it inside your computer. It goes anywhere it will fit

. Unless you have lots of gadgets inside your PC, it should be fine. Just open the case and put it in.

Is it like an ATi card ( all-in-wonder )? If it's a video card then you have to open your computer, remove your current video card, and replace it with the new card (depends if it goes in a PCI or an AGP slot.

Most graphics cards don't have TV IN. Most new ones have TV OUT. But obviously, they are different. Unless your card has TV IN, you can just place the new TV tuner card in the computer. I'm not sure what would happen if you have 2 TV tuners but it should be ok.

They would have a conflict until you tell the bios which one to use.
That should be right.

If its just a straight TV Tuner Card, then you should be able to plug it in to your computers PCI slot, then boot up the computer, and install the drivers (if your running XP it might be able to do it for you)

You'll figure out how to use it once you get it

Id recommend a program called
DScaler of which dec let me in on to run your games through. It has options for different displays and frequences and screenshot & video capture functions.
The hardest bit i think will be figuring out how to hook your gamecube up to your card and get it working. You may even need a L&R Audio to MIC converter... Let us know if you get stuck(after youve bought it

).

well, he may just need the RF adapter to connect his gc to a normal tv connection, not that stupid red, yellow, white connection for video that the console uses now.. He could connect the GC that way to his computer and it should bring the sound through it too.. I've done this before with an older computer that had TV in.. I plugged my SNES into it and recorded me raping Motherbrain in SuperMetroid.
So, he shouldnt have to purchase extra hardware other than the converter peice for that... which he can purchase an actual nintendo converter for that, at almost any EB
