the other day I was trying to go online on pso 3 everything is set up right but after i finished dialing and it took me to where you usually start out but ship select didn't come up so I took out the phone cord and it disconnected me. any ideas why it didn't work (note: this wasn't during server maintenance)

I seem to remember this scenario a while ago on Episodes I & II when loads of people tried connecting but the Ship Selection screen never appeared. Caused mass problems, many posts here! lol

The reason for this, i think there was a server problem that Sonic Team found unexpectedly. If it's still not working now, then that maybe the reason. I doubt it's a fault at your end unless its a connection problem which i shudda imagined would only happen one small time in a year or so! Keep trying really!

Maybe your ISP was busy. It can be pretty easy to get a dial up, but maybe it couldn't send you the information.

Hey! This happens to me all the time, especially on Saturdays. You can tell if it won't go through if you look at bottom right corner. If the save picture never shows, you aren't really connected. If you just sit there an wait, usually you will get a message saying Line Is Busy. Unfortunatly, so far there is nothing you can do to fix the problem. It sometimes takes me up to 2 hours before it will go to the ship select screen. I really hate it when I was just signing off and back on to update rank. Anyway...should you find a solution, let me know...as for now, the only one I have is patience. :S
