im not even a huge fan of those though because they dont give you a great defense or evade boost (because it gives you atp). I prefer Tropolic shield, thats the 2nd best shield, period.

No, it does give you a great defense and evasion boost. The ATP boost doesn't effect the other levels.


The best Tripolic you could find would have 5 more dfp than a Kasami
Kasami Bracer max dfp:105
Tripolic Shield max dfp:110

However the best Kasami you could find has 3 more evp than a Tripolic
Kasami Bracer max evp:249
Tripolic Shield max evp:246

Then Kasami adds 35 ATP as you pointed out.

Finally, the Kasami always has better resistances than a Tripolic
Kasami Bracer resistances: EFR=28 EIC=28 ETH=28
Tripolic Shield resistances: EFR=20 EIC=20 ETH=25

Therefore, if you want higher ATP, EVP and resistances, then the Kasami Bracer is better, but if you want 5 more DFP, then the Tripolic is better

Obviously the Tripolic is better for non-hunters as the Kasami is HU only, but if we compare the best stats, then we see that the Kasami is a better shield.

Safety Heart has slightly better EVP than Tripolic and better resistances, but is female only. Standstill Shield has way higher DFP, but much lower EVP and better EIC resistance, but worse ETH.

Each to his own. I was just making sure that people knew that the tripolic is not the second best shield as you stated and that the Kasami Bracer does not have crappy dfp/evp because of its atp boost, period.

If however we judge this on looks, then the Flowen's Shield clearly pwnz all!

ATP and ATA given by armours or shields goes over your bas max, therefore even if you are maxed, you will get the 35 ATP bonus from Kasami.

I just go for looks, I find Tripolic extremely ugly, Terra uses Secure Feet, Kefka Flowen's Shield or Kasami Bracer or Shield of Delsaber or S-Parts v2.01, Hed uses colour merges, Aelia uses Rico's Glasses, Shione uses Rico's earrings and Thousand uses Attribute Wall, sometimes Standstill Shield.

well i wouldnt say the Tripolic is ugly, its just incredibly basic. Oh and i know that Armors and Shields add on top of your base, my point was i dont need the ATP either way because im almost maxed (35 atp makes, what, 5-10 damage difference if even)
