Yes but the actual console doesnt need to be translated, theres pratically nothin to translate, only the games. The games i cud live with takin their time to get released, as long as a few were out to make the most of our time, that could easily be done in the run upto a global release.

But what would you rather have? A less than impressive European release in time for Christmas, with a small game line up. Not only that but a risk of it getting lost in the Christmas rush. Or an impressive 1st Quarter 2005 release with an excellent line up of titles, that will sell better? I'd rather have the second.
If you can't wait, simply import it, thats what I'm doing.

lol, true true. I doubt i'd have any money anyways! What with all these screen problems, they probabily wouldnt have enough to go around all 4 continents by christmas 2004 anyways.

I can't wait until the Nintendo DS comes out. Especially Animal Crossing. I loved that game and still play it today on the Game Cube, but imagine the inclusion of wireless gaming in the Animal Crossing universe. You could have other people visit your town, but at the same time as you. You could use the touch screen for designing clothes while you fish on the other screen. You could view your inventory while you walk around. The possiblities with the Nintendo DS are really astounding. The future is really looking bright for Nintendo.

Nah, as always its Japan (Late Autumn 2004), America (Xmas 2004), then Europe & Australia (Late Spring - Early Summer 2005).
Thats to my understandings anyways.

I expect Europe is always last because they have to do the language translations for all the European countries.

You'd think, but if its anything like the GBA (Which it is because of the GBA games compatability) then it's any region, none of this seperation over PAL & NTSC stuff because it's got its own screen (Or screens in this case!) incorporated into it which doesnt change in anyway where-ever its sold! So only the games need to be translated into the different languages. Really makes you wonder why they leave Australia till last since they dont need to adjust it in anyway, unless they're gonna add a few aussie accents!
Mind you they have already got a few problems with screen shortages. Nintendo have hooked up a deal with Sharp to provide the screens, but due to the popular demand of them they may even have to hold back the release until even later so theres enough, or jack up the price a little bit
Things going wrong and they havent even thought much about it yet!
