I only use a pencil and paper, I've taken my pencil sketches and put them into a comp and used Illustrator and/or Photoshop and/or Flash to make them all colorful and whatnot lol. Here's all my good artwork http://leopectus-lionheart.deviantart.com/gallery/
I'll be adding to that with my best work yet (probably will be up in a week). I had an art thread here but I guess it was deleted...oh and this belongs in the Fan Works section I believe so I'm gonna move it there.
PSO is a game of my past but those I came in contact with are still a part of me.

lol, as you probably saw if you went to that link, I don't ink or color any of my works, I leave them as pencil sketches. Fellow artists (namely female ones) always yell at me and tell me to ink my pics. I just don't feel confident enough, I should probably try though, it would make them look more professional.

there is a professional animator who only uses sharpies thats weird. ink looks good and i have some pictures that have inked outlines and are shaded with graphite it has a unique look to it.

well art is a very open field. Everybody has their own style and there is no "Right way" to draw stuff.

the guy who uses sharpies is my favorite animator. the link is working again, nice pictures. do you use mulitple pencils or just the standard HB #2
i made a fonewm in that ink/graphite way to show what is looks like. its too big to post so im gonna shrink it down which takes some time to do well

here is some pics i shrunk them down and only took a portion of them. they look better in real life
lets see if this was done right.
i hate editing. the fo sucks cause i didnt take my time on it. hendrix looks a little weird cause it was put in to a bad program to save space.
*note how i put in my signature*

EDIT BY LIONHEART: Try not to double post, just edit your original post to put the new stuff in ok?

I use a standard #2 on all of those, however on this new one I'm gonna have up in the next couple of days, I used a combination of a mechanical pencil and a #2 (the lines come out nicer with the mechanical).

i use HB, B, 2B,and 4B pencils usually. they give you darker areas with little to no pressure and still erase easily.
My main characters:
