OK, I'd like to know what level and such you'd expect of someone just up to the Seabed Lower Levels (Normal difficulty) in Ep. 2 on the Xbox, having done Ep. 1 on Normal.
Also, what sort of Mag/weapons/equipment would you expect me to have? I haven't been online yet, by the way.
I just want to know, because the Gal Gryphon was pretty hard for me (bet that sounds pitiful to you lot, eh?), and I was wondering whether or not I should have been a higher level before taking it on, or whether I'm just pathetic at fighting. ^^;;;
And hi! This is my first post. x3

Heya, Welcome to Ragol.co.uk.
I guess anywhere around level 25-30 should do you fine if its your first time playing through the game. I wouldnt expect you to have any rare items yet, they start popping up in Hard Mode.
If you're a Hunter/Ranger, try and find a weapon with % to Dark, most enemies in the Seabed fall under this category and a weapon with % to Dark will deal more damage to that type of enemy. Also try and find some Armor with as many Slots as you can and equip various Units such as +HP, +Resist etc - These should help you out alot. The last boss might be quite hard for you if its your first time playing through the game, so if you happen to find any Scape Dolls, put them in your Bank and save them for the last boss!
Goodluck

Thanks for the welcome. ^^
And I'm actually level 35. A FOmarl. *Enables signature.* So I guess it's me that needs improving, then. ^^;;; I have this crazy, unhealthy obsession with being a melee Force...
I also haven't used any Materials yet (though I have quite a few in deposit), and my Mag (Marica) was raised with any items I could spare, even though I know that isn't the best way to raise them. I have 3 spare Mags anyhow. Would this affect the level you'd expect someone to be at?
I have tried Hard mode in Ep. 1, just the Forest (definitely, noticeably harder for me...). I've found a Booma's Right Arm there, and a 'SPECIAL WEAPON' that I can't use. I tried to tek it and it said it was Flowen's Sword or something, but the description said it was common, so I'm saving it, untekked, to see if I can get anything better. How rare are they?
EDIT: Oh, and I have 3 Scape Dolls put away in deposit for a rainy day... uhhh, I mean... a tricky boss.

Sounds like you're doing ok I love melee Forces too Infact i have a level 125 melee FOmar, he does quite well for himself. Anyway, I would reccomend using spells and such at low level, as theyre alot more powerful than your melee attack in the early stages of the game. As for Mags, check out my Sato Guide one of those should definately be handy to you
As for the Rare sword you found, welldone on keeping it "Untekked". Rares themselves cannot change, However their % statistics can! If you take an Untekked weapon to the Tekker at the shops, and it has 5% on Native, you could repeatedly decline his examination untill you get 15% on Native. %'s can only change within a 10% range, so its a good idea to keep paying the guy to examine them, untill it has some good %'s - This is called "Tekking" which alot of PSO players do Goodluck again!

I never actually knew what the point in not believing the Tekker was... I thought things could be Tekked into different stuff by different Tekkers. I can't use the sword anyway, but I'll keep it as a sort of trophy, I guess.
That Sato Mag guide is excellent, by the way. If it's good for Melee Forces, I think I'll make one. Why do the Ranger and the Female Force have to be those Section IDs, though? I have a Ranger and a Female Force, but they're not the right Section IDs. Does that affect how it grows?
Oh, and what's a good melee weapon that I could use? I'm using a Buster +3 right now (just managed to equip it today ^^). And what weapon would you recommend at higher levels? I once read somewhere that the only weapon a high-level Force should use is a Mechgun or something. I'm assuming that's more of a not-Melee Force thing?

With the Sato, the purpose of the Ranger with the certain Section ID, is purley for the Mag learning the best Photon Blasts.
Any weapon with +Hit% would help you out alot, as Forces dont have alot of ATA. Also keep your eye out for a Double Sabre, its a great lowish level melee weapon, and it has TP Steal as its special attack!
As for guns, especially Mech Guns; they require alot of ATA or +Hit% to work well on Forces, at higher levels Forces can use them quite well, but for the moment it would be wise to stick with Handguns if you can.

Well rares start to drop in Hard mode, most of which are 9*. Double Sabre is also 9* so you should have a chance of finding one in Hard mode... but im not sure where exactly :O You could try trading for one...
