1) Regardless of how major or minor a point is. It does have an effect for some people. Disregarding a point in such a manner is immature and shows your blantant bias towards the xbox version. Fyi, the telepipe effects, cloaking effects and water effects in Ep2 are all noticably poorer on Xbox.
*--No.... thats not an argument. You do not buy a GC especially to watch a telepipe effect! The main reason why this point is invalid, is due to the fact that most people had no idea the GC had different telepipes before they bought the game! So thats a flawed point! I find it immature when someone is blatantly scraping around for any spare arguments they can find.
2) There are clearly bad sides to voice chat or people wouldn't complain about it on more Xbox-esque pso sites! If you voice ban many people, then it becomes hard to communicate with others. The shortcutting of phrases to the Function keys on GC means that commonly used phrases (the ones that you use most when playing, so will break up the play as you say) can be said faster than saying them. Voice chat is very good for communicating, but you cannot say that the keyboard is rubbish because you haven't got adept enough at using it yet...
*-- erm... no! Voice baning people does not make it hard communicate with others, because in that situation, you are implying that you want to chat to those who arebeing annoying in the first place! It makes communication easier, thats what you have to understand. By cutting out all of the people who are making a noise you can chat to people in the lobbies who you WANT to chat to far more easier..... Oh, and making more rash statements by saying I am not adept at using a keyboard is another pointless statement, you obviously dont know me, because this is coming from someone who works in on office and can touch type!!!.......... and coming from someone who can touch type, you can say things FAR quicker than typing them! Plus the extra fees of paying out for a keyboard!
You fail to understand that the Xbox has preset words aswell, which can be used when needed. However, most of the time you scramble around trying to find out the appropriate phrase to say. Voice chat is essential in challenge mode! There is no way, anyone can say that challenge mode would be easier without the ease of voice chat. Discussing clear stratgies and which items should be used as well as alearting people as to where they should go is FAR easier with voice chat! you waste precious time having to stop and type and I have known some people on the GC version to have failed challenge modes on GC due to the stopping-typing-stopping-typing routine. That breaks up play, slows the game down and makes it less enjoyable!
3) Sorry, but that is pathetic. In what way would linking the servers on ep1&2 actually do any damage?! Dc was completely different due to the much worse cheating/cracking. If you care to head over to any other PSO site, you will find that the Xboxers have genuine problems finding decent games in their region (especially those who play at unusual hours).
*--Quite simple really..... its simply probablility, the higher the population on a server, the more chance there are of being hackers! Comprendé? And you base your comments on what others have said on other forums?? That really lets your argument down I am afraid. I have read forums in which people say they have had genuine problems with the GC version! Do I generalise that by saying, the GC version has more hackers??? Nope......
4) Sorry, but I assumed you had actually researched the different versions before you began stating that one was superior to the other. Head over to PSOW and ask any of the members of the legit guilds or cmode groups how hard it is to find legit players and then connect to Deneb 9 or Altair 2 or Altair 4 or Alcyone 6 and see how many legit players you find. 5) Incorrect. If you are considering buying a game, then surely finding out that for one console you can play a completely different game using the same hunters license as ep1&2 will sway you towards one console more than the other?
*--Not when you have already bought a console! PSO came out long after GC was released. MANY people bought the GC from launch, without knowing about Ep 3. So your theory states, that people who have bought and Xbox from launch and bought PSO, and then hear of Ep 3, then go and sell their xbox and all their stuff jsut to buy a GC and Ep 3, because of the extra game! I dont know anyone who has done that once they have already bought a console, and if they did, they would be in an extreme minority of peole.... Oh, and if I bought Ep 1 and 2 originally, then I would not be attracted to a card game for which the gameplay style is completely different to a game which I am already perfectly happy with! If Ep3 had a similar gameplay style to Ep 1 and 2, that argument would apply. But it doesnt! Ep 3 and Ep1 and 2 are completely different games, and even if the hunters lisence did carry across, I wouldnt shelve out $50 to buy the game in the first place when I would blatently play Ep 1 and 2 more. It seems to me, that from playing on GC and Xbox ships, a lot of people have the same opinion as me when it comes to Ep 3.... a lot of people if given teh choice would have preferred a game similar to Ep 1 and 2, with more areas, new weapons and new char classes... instead we get a completely different game, which is NOT what we wanted. I know many people who arnt playing Ep 3 out of protest. Which is why I presume Sonic Team were sooo eager to present PSO Universe to prevent their franchise from crumbling away at their feet!
6) I would appreciate it if you could introduce me to those people. If they actually exist, then I seriously doubt that they played GC for a decent amount of time before coming to that conclusion. I speak from personal experience because the people in question spent a long time on both versions trying to have as much fun as possible without any bias towards one console (something you should try do). Their opinions should mean a lot more than those of someone who says silly things like having the regions separated is a good thing!
*--Certainly..... Valyk, Valkyrie, Raven, Wilf and Supermodel are among some of my friends, all of them have clocked up over 1000 hours in the game, on XBOX alone, not taking into account the DC version!
