a photon drop is an item. actually a greenbox type (= can be dropped by everything).
plus its worthless if you cant go online because the only use it has is to trade it in in an online quest for percentages, special items or special attacks on s-rank weapon.
sells for 1000 mst which you should only do if you never ever have the possibility to get online.


body parts can be converted in the offline quest Dr Osto's Research. talk to the fonewm thats hanging around between the hospital and the warp to the principal. one part per questload. quit and load again for more.

Photon drops can be converted to give weapons attributes amidst other stuff, and to change an animal part, you need to complete all offline quests, and then go to the "Unsealed Door" quest, and speak to Dr. Montague, who is stood by the Principal's teleporter.
