PSO Disc

I have been getting a crap load of Disc errors from my PSO Disc... I have cleaned it many times, but still in certain areas of the game I get "cannot read disc" Which is very annoying.... So, I have two options:

Send the Disc to Nintendo of America to get a Brand New Disc.
Or
Wait Until The new Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus game is release
(Now delayed 'till Sept. 14-15, 2004)

But with the PSO PLUS, will i need my Original Disc to transfer the Data...? Or Do I just put in the Disc,will See the data, then put it in the PLUS format?

reason why they delayed the release of the plus version is people kept emailing bout the transfer of chars from the EP 1 & 2 to Plus. i got an email before they delayed that they said it was happening, but they were thinking of taking it back to give that extra bit, which they have. theyve had 1000's of emails of that and phone calls. So i guess there gonna make lots of people happy now lol.

So, are you saying that i should w8 for PLUS? or just get a New PSO Ep.1 and 2 Disc?

hm.... tough one i say. There should be more news on nintendo soon bout plus and whats possible and what we can do. the error about reading the disc also happens to my friends, it was the gamecube cause it also happens to a few more of his games. it's the internal hardware which causes the problem. it's fixable but for a price. um one thing though which may be a case is ur cd scratched with little ones or is there a huge gouge, if theres a gouge i suggest waiting for plus if chars are transferable, but as i said we gotta wait for more news from nintendo.

Maybe I should test other games to see if it is the Gamecube...but Ep3 works fine...So, i dunno

Zen I'm getting the exact same errors and I've been scared shit about going online or even playing. And knowing reliable old sega (yeah right) I doubt I'd get a free replacement. (Or anyone would)

It is a problem with your disc. I run into similar problems if I try to access my network options from the options screen rather than from the internet view.

Yea, Had a feeling it was the disc...the samething happened to me before with the Network thing. That BOM sig is too big for here, But I'll down size it =P

btw, my Gamecube dropped from the shelf (has happened many times before) but it wasn't a hard drop, but I think I might have gotten a really bad mark from that(The Disc was running)...Its Small, but it looks deep.
