Isn't this great? I found it in one of my old magazines. It's from an advert for PSO 1&2!
I never knew PSO 1&2 came out on GC the same month as Metroid Prime.

The Nintendo DS is almost Here!
All the Official Details right here ^_^

Released today, all the official nintendo DS details, specs, and prices, aswell as release dates in Japan & America (Lucky bast*rds Tongue)...
  • US Release Date : November 21st
    Price : $149.99

  • Jap Release Date : December 2nd
    Price : ¥15000

  • UK Release Date : Q1 2005
Price : £84 (US Conversion – Not Official)

Specifications
  • Size (when closed) : 148.7 millimeters (5.85 inches) wide, 84.7 millimeters (3.33 inches) long, 28.9 millimeters (1.13 inches) tall

  • Top Screen: A backlit, 3-inch, semitransparent reflective TFT color LCD with 256 x 192 pixel resolution and .24 mm dot pitch, capable of displaying 260,000 colors

  • Touch Screen: Same specs as top screen, but with a transparent analog touch screen

  • Wireless Communication: IEEE 802.11 and Nintendo's proprietary format; wireless range is 30 to 100 feet, depending on circumstances; multiple users can play multiplayer games using just one DS Game Card

  • Controls: Touch screen, embedded microphone for voice recognition, A/B/X/Y face buttons, plus control pad, L/R shoulder buttons, Start and Select buttons

  • Input/Output: Ports for both Nintendo DS Game Cards and Game Boy® Advance Game Paks, terminals for stereo headphones and microphone

  • Other features: Embedded PictoChat software that allows up to 16 users to chat at once; embedded real-time clock; date, time and alarm; touch-screen calibration

  • CPUs: One ARM9 and one ARM7

  • Sound: Stereo speakers providing virtual surround sound, depending on the software

  • Battery: Lithium ion battery delivering six to 10 hours of play on a four-hour charge, depending on use; power-saving sleep mode; AC adapter

  • Languages: English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Italian

  • Color: Silver and black

Also aparently Pictochat comes built into the Nintendo DS (Program allowing one DS to speak to another - send messages and drawings to friends, etc.) which is hella cool if true! Also in Japan & the US, Metroid Prime: Hunters - First Hunt comes packaged at no extra charge!!!!! (Metroid prime: Hunters - First Hunt is a demo of Metroid Prime: Hunters when released on DS if you're wondering).

All us Europeans are stuck however with 'Spring' ..... *sigh*

you just love giving specs like that and making any other info on the gaming system, previously offered, insignificant; dont you?
lol definetly worth it, in a word..... hmmm nope.. im beyond words, this system is in a class of its own and will definetly level any competition in a heartbeat with its neo-tech design and unlimited potential, i cant wait till some worth-while titles actually pull this new hand-held through the roof for consumer satisfaction. Why do you bother? You know I'm going to win...

Hey, its much easier to read in one post ^_^

Also its been revealed that the DS isnt region encoded, meaning you can import a Nintendo DS on release in America, and still play European games on it Big Grin However Ninty have warned that some accessories may not work on other country DS's... Sad

I'm going to get the DS as soon as it comes out in the UK (When is it coming out?)
Anyone caught smoking at Layer Road will be buried in the
centre circle by the forking groundsman, with only their head
showing, and left there during the second half.
Previous threats of electrocution, being made to listen to Will
Young and being hung from the floodlights have
failed to discourage all the smokers.

If Cardiff players had to stand and pay respects to an English national anthem, would they? I don't think so.
But Arsenal players manage to do it.
